26th March 2022: Second Location of Fuel America in Worcester, then Lunch in Framingham

Today, we started out by checking out the new Fuel America location at 100 Grove Street in Worcester. Smaller than the Mercantile Street location to start with.

We got the Goji Dragon (Pitaya Sorbet, Granola, Bananas, Blueberries, Coconut Flakes, Cacao Nibs, Gogi Berries & Nutella drizzle),

the Avocado Toast (Wheat Toast with fresh Avocado, Egg, Spring Mix with Lemon Vinaigrette),
the Matcha Latte (green tea with steamed milk)

and the Southwest Chipotle Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese Bowl (Smoked Pulled Chipotle Pork, Avocados & Wontons),
The avocado toast was very simplistic and nothing much to it, the most underwhelming of the avocado toasts I have had. The dragonfruit dish was really good though, similar to acai, while the mac and cheese was simple but flavorful.

For lunch, we decided to check out Nawabi Hyderabad House, an Indian restaurant that has apparently taken over from Biryani Pot, which I visited a long time ago. Same decor inside as before.
We got the Thalappakatti Mutton Biryani,
the Butter Chicken Masala (homemade chicken breast and tomatoes cooked with curry sauce),
and the Butter Naan.

The biryani was a tad spicy, though flavorful, but thankfully the curry was pretty good, as was the crispy naan. Overall, a pretty good meal here.

March 21st 2022: Burger King, Westborough

Today, we decided to get takeout from the Burger King in Westborough, getting the Spicy Ch'King Sandwich,

the 6 pc Chicken Nuggets King Jr Meal
and the Bacon Whopper Melt.
The whopper wasn't anything special in my opinion, although the chicken dishes were not bad. At least better than McDonald's for the same price.

March 20th 2022: Quick Bite in Northborough, Chinese in Framingham and Natick

While at Wegman's in Northborough today, we decided to grab a quick bite from Market Cafe here, getting a Chocolate Iced Ring with Sprinkles

and a California Spring Roll.

Nothing special really this time around.

After that, we decided to have lunch at Uncle Cheung's Restaurant, a Chinese place in Framingham which I visited a while back.

This time around, we got the Silk Bean Curd Soup (Sweet),

the Stinky Bean Curd,

the Sauteed Chinese Green Cabbage,

the Beef Soup Noodles

Really great tasting food, especially the broth for the noodles and the tofu, which was crispy yet not too stinky. Glad we decided to check out this place.

We finished off our meal with some Taro from the Gong Cha location within the Natick Mall.

A good day of having Chinese in Framingham and Natick.

March 18th 2022: Off the Rails, Worcester

Today, we decided to have dinner at Off the Rails, a relatively new bar restaurant in Worcester serving Southern food. This is apparently the renovated form of Railers Sports Tavern, which we visited a while back. Looks much nicer now, with live music.

We decided to get the Coconut Mango Margarita (coconut tequila, triple sec, lime juice, mangoo puree, sourmix and a coconut rim), which I did not get to try,

the Gas Station Eggs (house pickled eggs, served with saltines and house hot sauce),

a side of Mac and Cheese,

the Buttermilk and Herb Fried Chicken (truffled cream corn, coleslaw)

the Jam Burger (6oz lilac hedge beef patty, cheddar, greeen tomato jam, bacon, sesame bun)

and the Orange Cranberry Cobbler for dessert.

The sour eggs were interesting, but otherwise nothing special. The chicken was not bad, while the jam for the burger was pretty good. The Mac and Cheese did not come from a packet, which was good for a change, although the dessert was a little on the sour side. Overall not too bad a meal, although it was just alright for my other half. The waitress serving us did a very good job though, even giving us a Vanilla Soft Serve on the house for our little one to enjoy.

March 13th 2022: Breakfast in Westborough, Lunch in Shrewsbury

Today, while in the area, we decided to grab some breakfast from the relatively new Starbucks location at 139 Turnpike Road in Westborough.

We got the Blueberry Muffin (Soft muffin with sweet, juicy blueberries and a hint of lemon, finished with a crunchy sugar topping),

the Pistachio Latte (sweet pistachio and rich brown butter paired with espresso and steamed milk),

and the Turkey Bacon, Cheddar and Egg White Sandwich (Sizzling turkey bacon and cage-free egg whites paired with creamy, melted, reduced-fat white Cheddar cheese on a wheat English muffin).
The muffin was not bad, although there did not seem to be any pistachio taste to the latte, and the sandwich looked shabby and just alright in taste and texture by me. At least it did the job for the moment.

For lunch, we decided to go to Bauhinia, a nice Americanized Chinese restaurant in Shrewsbury which I have been to a few times in the past,
this time getting the Chow Fun (shrimp)
and the Szechuan Shredded Beef.

Just alright again, and our little one would not have any of it, except for the fortune cookies. Oh well.

Before leaving West Warwick, I stopped by Fresh Homemade Donuts in town for a quick bite, getting a Red Velvet Donut, which was actually pretty good, especially with the frosting, and crispy too.

After finally leaving Rhode Island for the day, we decided to head to Dah Mee, a Korean restaurant in Natick serving Thai and Japanese food as well.

We got the Momokawa Silver (Oregon), which was alright for a Japanese drink,
the Dok Bok Ki (stir fried spicy rice cakes, fish cakes and scallions),
the Duk Man Du Guk (homemade dumpling soup with rice cake, egg, scallion and mushroom),
the Thai Noodle Soup (Thai style noodle soup, beansprout, fried onion and garlic)
and the Bul Go Ki (marinated sliced beef and Dah Mee special sauce).

The Korean dishes were not bad, although the Thai noodles were nothing to speak of. Overall, I think there are better Korean places around.

For dessert, we decided to head to Acai Dot Com, a small cafe serving acai bowls in a sketchy part of Framingham at 102 Irving Street.

We got our Acai Bowl with strawberries and pineapples.
Nice presentation, and pretty good acai too. Won't come back again due to the limited menu though.
