October 30th 2018: Checking Out the Historical Society in Harvard

Today, I decided to go check out the Historical Society in the town of Harvard, passing through the town of Boylston
RKMC Firefighter Memorial,
599 Main Street
and getting lunch from Lucky House, a Chinese takeout place in Clinton, getting the General Tso's Chicken, Egg Roll, Pork Fried Rice,
and Hot and Sour Soup.
A filling meal for cheap.

The museum itself is an old church,
with a small collection of stuff. Good trip out though.

October 29th 2018: Checking Out the Historical Society in Sherborn

Today, I decided to go check out the Historical Society in Sherborn, located within the Town Hall.
It was a little hard to get to, being in the basement, but a pretty nice collection of stuff actually.
After leaving Sherborn, I decided to get some pizza from Sam's Bidino's Pizza in Ashland, getting the BBQ Chicken Pizza.
Nothing special though.

October 27th 2018: Meals in Somerville and Cambridge

Today, while in Somerville, I decided to check out Caramel Patisserie, a French pastry shop which also has a branch in Salem. Pretty nice looking desserts,
of which I got the Walnut Tart (caramel sauce),

which was really good, as can be expected from this place. I also decided to try out the takeout Mexican place Don Julio Restaurant nearby,
getting a Carnitas Quesadilla (soft tortilla folded with rice, beans, monterrey jack cheese, pico di gallo, sour cream and pork),
which I have to say is one of the best I have had to date, or maybe I was just too hungry. One takeout place I will recommend I guess.

Next, I headed into Cambridge for my final meal of the day at Andy's Diner,
getting Two Eggs (with home fries and toast),
which was pretty decent a meal for cheap, the home fries being crispy and all.

With that, a day of eating our in Somerville and Cambridge on a rainy day was at an end.

October 26th 2018: Lunch at Juicy Seafood, Worcester

For lunch today, I decided to go check out the new seafood place in Worcester, Juicy Seafood, which apparently has another branch out in Springfield.

Pretty nice decor in a sketchy part of town. I got the Boiled Clams (Juicy Special Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Butter),

which came in a bag much like at Shaking Crab in Quincy. Pretty tasty too.

October 25th 2018: Meals in Northborough and Worcester

This morning, while in Northborough,
Times Square, 299 West Main Street
I decided to go get a drink from 291 Coffeehouse and Art Studio, which is more of a studio than a cafe.
I got the Hot Chocolate,
which was a good start to the day.

For lunch, I decided to check out the Brew Beer Garden, the new restaurant in Worcester.
Nice modern decor, and for food, I got the DEEP SOUTH Burger (Beef Burger, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar, Hickory Smoked Bacon, Onion Ring, BBQ),
Pretty decent fare as well.

October 21st 2018: Lunch at a Food Court in Boston

On the way home today, we decided to stop by the Asian food court at 1095 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, choosing to get the Seafood Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap (mixed marinated vegetables served over rice in hot stone bowl with homemade hot and spicy sauce on the side) and Chicken Wings from Misono Grill
as well as the Boiled Beef Filet from Chilipa.
The Korean food was pretty good, as was the spicy beef soup, which I have not had in a while. A good meal to have on the way home, with leftovers to boot.

October 20th 2018: Fall Festivals in Newton and Watertown

I started out this morning at Maya Sol, a Mexican restaurant in Somerville,

which I have actually been to a long time ago. This time, I got a Beef Tongue Taco, which was actually pretty delicious.

Next, it was on to Brother's Kafe Kreyol, a Caribbean bar restaurant in Everett,
where I got the Plantains with Ragou.
Not bad, but nothing special.

Later on, we were in Newton to attend the Newton Fall Festival, which had a lot of free food of course.

I got my first candied apple ever (and probably my last, so gimmicky)
and got some balloon butterfly made for us by this guy,
which looked kinda weird though.
Next, we headed to the Chestnut Hill area of town for the next event, Trick or Treat at the Street.
I like this concept as kids can enjoy the spirit of Halloween while being in a safe environment during the day time.
Next, we headed to the Grace Chapel in Watertown

for their Harvest Fest.
The food here was just hamburgers and hot dogs though, and they were almost out already by the time we got there.

It was a good day spending time with family though.
