January 31st 2026: Great Vietnamese Food at Phoever Whatever, Worcester

Today, after checking out Ultimate Obstacles in West Boylston,

and getting a delicious Crispy Chicken Burrito (chicken tenders, Mexican rice, lettuce, corn, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, tortilla strips, bacon, avocado slices and honey mustard dressing) from Mamacita's nearby,

we decided to have dinner at Phoever Whatever, a Vietnamese restaurant in Worcester we have been to in the past.
This time, we got the Phoever Stone Pot (Pho noodle, beef soup beef short rib, rare eyeround, brisket, flank, beef meatballs, tripe, tendon)
and the Bun Bo Hue.
Everyone is in agreement that this is the best Vietnamese place around town. Really flavorful and authentic.

January 19th 2026: Museum of Ice Cream, Boston

 Today, while in Boston,

Echelon Seaport

Residences at Pier 4,
55 Pier 4 Boulevard
10 World Trade

we started out with breakfast at Committee, a Greek bar restaurant in Boston. Fancy inside.

We got the Build Your Own Bowl (tabouleh couscous, greek slaw, Cucumber Tzatziki, Butternut Squash Hummus, Chicken Skewer)
and the Lamb Burger (8oz ground lamb, carmelized onion tzatziki, smoked metsovo cheese, pickled shallots, and arugula on brioche with fries).
Not a bad start to the morning. Next, we went to our destination for the day, the Museum of Ice Cream.

A gimmicky place in my opinion, but at least we got quite a bit of ice cream.

After leaving the museum, we got a Basque Cheescake
from the Lakon Paris Patisserie location in the Seaport area.

then waited in line outside Yume Ga Arukara

to get a spot.

We got the Signature Cold Niku Udon (cold udon with sliced beef, grated ginger, dried seaweed, scallion, crispy tempura batter, lemon wedge, daikon and YGA's special Tare),
The Spicy Hot Udon (no beef with homemade chicken broth, topped with scallion, dried shrimp, crispy tempura batter, Japanese pepper flakes and our homemade chilli paste)

and the Kid's Bowl (with beef).
Not bad, though a little on the sweet side with the beef.

With that, an end of a day spent in the Seaport area of Boston.

January 17th 2026: Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Northborough and Sonic, Stoughton

Today, after getting a Detox Island Green (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana and fresh ginger, naturally sweetened)

and the Chipotle Chicken Club (grilled chicken, bacon, tomatoes, romaine, pepper jack and chipotle mayo)
from the Tropical Smoothie Cafe location in Northborough,

we were in Stoughton and decided to check out the Sonic location there.
We got the Double SONIC Smasher, which came with Groovy Fries and an All Natural Lemonade, and Chicken Tenders.
Finally got my taste of Sonic.

January 10th 2026: Pho No 194, Worcester

Today, after attending our little one's recital at JOMP in Worcester,

we decided to have lunch at Pho No 194, a new Vietnamese bar restaurant in Worcester. Pretty nice inside.

We got the Pina Colada (Coconut/Pineapple flavor with fresh pineapples),
the Banh Mi Thit Nuong (Char-grilled pork, pickled carrots/radishes, cilantro, cucumbers, jalapenos and house special spreading served on toasted Vietnamese baguette),
the Pho Chin (beef noodle soup with well done brisket)
and the Bun Bo Hue (thinly sliced beef shank, eye round shank, Vietnamese ham, small udon served in lemongrass spicy broth).
I thought the food was pretty good, although my other half thought it was just so-so. Plus points for the ambience though.
