September 28th 2015: Meals in Worcester and Clinton

I got some African food for lunch today from Joyful Way Restaurant, a small African place at 47 Blackstone River Road in Worcester, getting the Kenkey (Ghanaian Sourdough Dumpling).
Way too sour for my liking.

Dinner was at Clinton's Bar and Grille, a new place that has taken over from Ristorante Via Alto 27, which I went to before. The decor was pretty much the same,
although the menu was very different. We got the Truffled Pan Seared Scallops (Julienne Cucumber, Creme Fraiche, Aged Balsamic) And Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (Zesty Cocktail Sauce, Fresh Lemon)
and the Roast Rack Of New Zealand Lamb ( Lentils, Greek Yogurt).
Pretty tasty fare, especially the lamb which was oh so tender and flavorful with the sauce. This address doesn't fail to impress.

September 27th 2015: Lunch at Noodles and Company, Shrewsbury

We had lunch at Noodles and Company in Shrewsbury today.

I enjoyed my meal the last time I was here, and I wasn't disappointed this time either by the Thai Hot Pot (signature curry broth, cabbage, sprouts, peppers, shiitake mushrooms, rice noodles, pulled chicken and pork, lime wedge and cilantro, served with side of Toasted Asian flatbread) we got.
Looking forward to the next time I come back here again.

September 26th 2015: The Big E

We decided to check out the Big E carnival in West Springfield today, stopping by at Yaad Jamaican Food, a small takeout place with not much space for seating at 87 Main Street in Springfield, for a quick lunch before going back into traffic. We got the Oxtail,
which I have to say was the best I have had to date, the meat simply falling off the bone and such a pleasure to eat, especially with company.

The traffic situation itself was already a nightmare as we approached the fair, and we were thankful that we even managed to find a parking spot, much less for free. We were even luckier in that we had bought our tickets in advance, and did not have to wait like everybody else.

Pictures I took of the fair itself, which was a pretty big affair, with farm animals everywhere, giant pumpkins and lifesize replicas of various New England landmarks to boot, follow.
I wish I had not had Deep Fried Oreos,
Eclairs and Deep Fried Whoopie Pies,
only to find out there were rattlesnake burgers available when I was already too full to have them. Next time I guess. Overall, a pretty good day at the fair.
