Our goal today was the top of
Mount Washington in Sargents Purchase NH.
In order to accomplish this, we were to use the
Mount Washington Auto Road, which starts in Greens Grant NH.
We were lucky that we were allowed to go up in just one car, and it did require some skill to get to the top, stopping along the way for some pictures
before heading to the top where the rest of the crowd was. Pictures I took at the top follow.
The drive down was more terrifying,
but at least we made it down safely, though really slowly.
We decided to get lunch across the road at
Glen View Cafe, which has a nice view of the mountain.
getting the Split Pea and Ham Soup, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Macaroni and Cheese,
and a Hot Dog with Sauerkraut.
Pretty bland stuff. Definitely not coming back again. It was a perfect day at the top of Mount Washington though.
