July 30th 2023: Brunch in Boston, Playground in Cambridge, Burgers in Northborough

 Today, while in Boston,

North Station Drawbridge
we decided to have brunch at the new Charlestown location of Tatte Bakery and Cafe

getting the LAMB MEATBALL Shakshuka (Tomato and bell pepper sauce, eggs*, lamb meatballs, and peppadew peppers, topped with spicy labneh and parsley. Served with housemade challah)

the Halva Sesame Tea Cake, Orange Juice and Apricot Danish.

The shakshuka was pretty good, especially the sweet peppers, although the cakes were just alright in my opinion.

From here, we headed to Cambridge

Education First Headquarters
to North Point Park, which has changed a lot since the last time I was here.

Our last stop for the day was Mooyah in Northborough to use up some coupons we got recently, getting the Reese's PB Cups Shake

the Little Burger for the little one
and the Campfire Burger (Single Certified Angus Beef,® Housemade Potato Chips, Cheddar Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Grilled Onions, Hickory Smoke Campfire Sauce, Signature Potato Bun).
Sinfully oily and sweet in our opinion.

July 29th 2023: Second Time at Clinton Bluff Wildlife Management Area, Clinton

Today, we decided to give the part of Clinton Bluff Conservation Area in Clinton we hadn't visited yet a go, the path we took from Bolton Road and Harris Street being shown below in pink.

Horrendously overgrown by the river, and my son got scratches all over his legs from the thorns we had to get through to get out of the area. The water bodies here weren't even great to look at.
Terrible choice to come back here again. Hope my little one was not too traumatized by the experience.

July 24th 2023: Dinner and Dessert at Legacy Place, Dedham

Today, while at Legacy Place in Dedham, we decided to have dinner at Il Massimo, a pretty upscale Italian restaurant from Providence RI.

We got the Calamari Fritti (Point Judith Calamari, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, Pepper Rings, Arugula, Spicy Lemon Aioli),

the Shrimp Scampi (Gulf Shrimp, Fresh Fettucine Pasta, White Wine Lemon Butter Sauce, Gremolata)
and the Tiramisu (Espresso Soaked Ladyfingers & Mascarpone) for dessert.
Pretty good meal I must say, good thing they have a Monday dinner deal.

From here, we decided to get more dessert at the JP Licks location nearby,
getting the Coconut Almond Chip in Cake Cone

and Chocolate.
Just realizing how gooey this ice cream is.

July 23rd 2023: Clinton Bluff Wildlife Management Area, Clinton

 Today, while in Clinton,

Savage Field
we went on a hike at Clinton Bluff Wildlife Management Area, located at the end of Mount View Drive, where the path we took to get to the supposed lookout and back is shown below in pink.
Unfortunately, there were no views to be had at the supposed lookout.
Apparently I missed out a few water bodies by the river. Will be back again some day I guess.

July 22nd 2023: Spending Time in Providence RI

 Today, while in Providence RI,

Old Union Baptist Church,
10 East Street

we had a quick bite at the Bolt Coffee location within Dean Hotel,

getting the Savory Pop Over,
which was just alright by me.

We then headed for lunch at Champa, a small Laotian restaurant in town,
getting the Pork Dumplings (Your choice steamed or fried, pork dumplings served with ginger sauce.),

the Khao Soi (Famous Northern noodles in a delicious mix of light yellow curry, check, ground peanuts, scallions, and fried shallots.)
and the Lao Style Pho (Rice noodles in special broth with your choice of chicken, beef, pork , or veggie, served in a large bowl).
Pretty good and different in flavor from what we are used to.

From here, we headed to Fargnoli Park for our little one to enjoy the water park there,

then got a Flourless Chocolate donut

from KNEAD Doughnuts nearby,
which was really good, surprisingly.

From here, we headed back into downtown Providence,
Shakespeare's Head Garden

Wayland Building, 1 Park Row

having dinner at P.F. Chang's,

where we got the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts (wok charred brussels sprouts, peanuts, chili pods, Kung Pao sauce)

the Moonstone Asian Pear (infused ginjo)

and the Salt and Pepper Prawns (Crisp prawns, aromatics, chili peppers, tossed in a spicy chili butter)

Pretty good meal, after which we checked out Waterfire for a bit before finally heading home.
