April 27th 2024: Cameron Woods, Hopkinton

 Today, we went on a hike at Cameron Woods in Hopkinton, where the path we took from Whisper Way to get to the supposed lookouts is shown below in pink.

Unfortunately, there were no views to be had at any of them,

although there was a statue of a boy at the northernmost one.

Creepy or cool, depending on how you see it. 

For dinner, we went to Texas Roadhouse in Worcester, which I visited once long before I started this blog. This time, we got the Prime Rib (16 oz,), which came with Steak Fries

and the House Salad (fresh greens, cheddar cheese, tomato, eggs and croutons).

Perfectly cooked meat, and delicious sauce for the salad. Can see why this place is so popular.

April 25th 2024: Breakfasts in Northborough and Melrose, Dinner in Westborough

 Today, I had two breakfasts, one at IHOP in Northborough,

getting the Ham and Cheese Omelette Combo (ham, jack and cheddar and white cheese sauce. Served with 2  fluffy buttermilk pancakes topped with whipped real butter)

and in Melrose

MelroseWakefield Hospital

at Jitters Cafe, getting the Chicken Pesto Pressed Panini (Oven roasted chicken breast, provolone cheese, roasted red peppers and basil pine nut pesto on focaccia)

Not bad meals in 2 different towns.

Dinner was at Mandarin Restaurant in Westborough, getting the Yuen-Yang Spicy Beef (in a hot pepper sauce on a bed of string beans)

and the Sauteed seasonal greens (pea pod stems).

Excellent meal from this place, especially the tender beef.

April 22nd 2024: Quick Bite at Tous Les Jours, Newton

 Today, while in Newton, we decided to get a quick bit at the Tous Les Jours here. Pretty fancy location.

We got the Egg Salad Sandwich,

the Shakerato,

and the Mango Cream Donut.

Honestly, the food was just alright this time around, nothing special in my opinion.

April 19th 2024: Second Time at Russo Italian Restaurant, Worcester

 Today, we decided to have dinner again at Russo Italian Restaurant in Worcester,

this time getting the Prime Rib Eye (grilled ribeye, roasted mushroom and asparagus, demi wine sauce)

and the Pasta Alla Vongole (linguine, littleneck clams, pancetta, lemon butter).

Pretty good again, although we mistook the ribeye for prime rib from the menu.

April 16th 2024: Second Time at Peppers Indian Cuisine, Northborough

 After checking out the popular Fayville Park in Southborough, 

we decided to have dinner at Peppers Indian Cuisine in Northborough, this time getting the Mutton Pepper Fry (goat served dry with green chilies, curry leaves and special spices).

Not bad in terms of flavor, but really spicy.

April 15th 2024: Second Time at Saigon Sandwich House

 Today, while in Lowell,

We decided to have lunch at Saigon Sandwich House, which we visited once in the past. This time around, we got the Egg roll (Cha Gio),

The Che Ba Mau,

The Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls,

The Beef Stew Noodle and Saigon Sandwich Combination.

The food was just alright this time around, the Beef Stew being a tad spicy. Not that good this time around. Not coming back again.

April 14th 2024: Lunch in Marlborough, Drinks in Auburn

 Today for lunch we decided to check out Mosaka, a Japanese hibachi restaurant in Marlborough which has taken the place of Okami, which we visited once a long time ago. 

We got the Stir Fried Yakisoba,

the Dragon Roll (eel, cucumber inside, topped with avocado, tobiko, eel sauce) and Signature Roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber inside, spicy crabmeat, eel and spicy mayo on top).

The signature roll was not too bad, crunch on the outside, but the other one was just so-so, as were the noodles with its onions. Overall, still nothing special here.

Later on, while at the Auburn Mall in Auburn, 

we decided to get drinks, getting a Frozen Hot Chocolate from Cafe Amore,

An Iced Coffee with Boba from Tutti Fruiti

and a Tamarindo from Tacos Mexico.

The tamarind drink was just not to my taste, but the cold drink was not too bad, giving me my sweet dose for the day.

April 13th 2024: Lunch in Westborough, Dinner in Shrewsbury

 Today, at the Panera Bread in Westborough, we decided to get the new stuff on the menu, getting the Mediterranean Greens with Grains,

the Chicken Bacon Rancher,

the Mexican Street Corn Chowder

and the Ciabatta Cheesesteak.

Pretty good, especially the soup and sandwiches.

For dinner, we were at Pho Sure in Shrewsbury,

this time getting the Avocado Premium Smoothie,

the Beef Pho T-Rex Friend (kid size soups with rice noodles, garnished with cilantro, scallion, onion),

the Spicy Hue Bowl (large round rice boodles with beef shank flank and pork ham in spicy lemongrass chicken broth),

and the Grilled Pork Chop (served with fried egg, pickled carrot and daikon, scallion oil and a side of fish sauce dressing) 

I have to say, the food has definitely improved a lot, especially the pork chops.

April 5th 2024: Lunch and Dinner in Worcester

 Today, we first had lunch at B.T.'s Smokehouse, a BBQ place in Worcester, this time getting the 1 Meat Dinner Plate (Beef Brisket, Collard Greens, BBQ Beans, Cornbread)

Next, dinner was all you can eat hotpot at Chuan Shabu in town, getting the Super Mala, Tomyum and Basic Broth flavors. Pretty good soup, and not too spicy, especially the tomyum broth.
