September 5th 2015: Eating in Braintree and Boston

This morning, after visiting Chua Bo De in Braintree for a bit,
we got some dessert from Konditor Meister in town, getting the Strawberry Grand Marnier Square and Tiramisu, which were pretty good,
then walked around South Shore Mall in town for a bit,
Then got a quick bite from Nori Sushi at the food court there,  getting the Nori Roll (Spicy Crabmeat inside, topped with shrimp, avocado).

Pretty good for food court Sushi.

Lunch was at the mall as well, at the Joe's American Bar and Grill here. I got the Cure (barbecue ribs, chipotle-onion jam, arugula, and crispy onion strings, topped with a sunny-side-up egg).

Really tasty, what with the ribs and the egg. Second time trying this chain, and second time not disappointed.

Dinner today was at Les Zygomates, a pretty upscale French restaurant in Boston.
For appetizers, we got the Lobster and Creamed Leek Stuffed Crepes (Foie Gras Mousse, Truffle, Lobster Sauce)
and the Baked Escargot en Croute (Mushrooms, Maitre D'Hotel Butter).
Both were pretty delicious, especially with the sauce for the crepes and the crispy crust on the escargot.

For entrees, we got the Lightly Smoked Pork Loin Chop (Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Mixed Potato Salad, Figs, Port wine Sauce)
and the Seared Sea Scallops (Cauliflower Purée, Perigord Truffle, Mushrooms & Beurre Blanc).
Once again, simply excellent stuff, the scallops going well with the mushrooms and the pork being perfectly cooked.

To finish everything off, we got the Citrus Tart (Citrus Custard,Lemon Thyme Anglaise, Honey Meringue).
A perfect ending to a perfect dinner, although it could have been better if we had been seated on the side with the live music.
