July 28th 2024: Going Backwards in Food

 Today, while in Marlborough,

Richer Elementary School

we started with dessert at the Starbucks in Marlborough,

getting the Pineapple Cloud Cake, which was a tad sweet.

Next, we had lunch at the Emporium Brazil location in town,

getting the usual Brazilian fare by weight.

Better than the Milford location, although it could have been the time of day playing a part as well.

To end the day, we got breakfast from the Panera Bread in Worcester, 

getting among other things the Ranch Cobb Salad, the Pecan Braid,

and the Blueberry Muffin.

And okay day for eating meals backwards.

July 27th 2024: Checking Out 3 Places in Hancock Village at Chestnut Hill, Boston

 Today, while in the Chestnut Hill area of Boston at the Hancock Village at Chestnut Hill on VFW Parkway,

we started out with lunch at Misono, a Korean Japanese restaurant in the plaza. Pretty nice inside.

We got the Tukmandu (Korean-style dumpling and rice cake soup with beef, boodles, egg and scallions)

and the Shrimp and Veggie Tempura Lunch Bento Box (served with salad, 2 peices of avokyu roll, Chicken wings),

which also came with a Miso Soup.

Decent food, but nothing special overall.

Next, we headed next door to Kwench Juice Cafe,

getting the Tropical Infusion (banana, mango, pineapple, strawberry, orange).

Too much banana in my opinion.

Finally, JP Licks in the same plaza,

getting an Iced Latte

and Strawberry Ice Cream.

Pretty good ice cream, not a fan of the coffee. 

July 24th 2024: More Quick Bites in Milford, Westborough and Worcester

 Today, we grabbed bites from places in different towns, starting with Burger King in Milford,

getting the Fiery Chicken Fries, which were spicy but nothing special otherwise.

We then got the Cookies and Creme Pie from McDonald's in Westborough, which is a bad idea in my opinion.

Finally, we were at Golden Tandoori Bakery in Worcester,

getting the Baklava.

Only saving grace of the day.

July 21st 2024: Quick Eats in Westborough

 Today, we got lunch at Harry's Restaurant, a fried seafood place in Westborough,

getting the Hot Dog

and the Belly Plate.

Not too bad for a start, although hot dogs are not off the menu for my little one. 

Next, we decided to check out a new smoothie place in town, The Fresh Monkee,

 

getting the Maui Colada (coconut milk, orange juice, vanilla protein, unsweetened coconut shreds, pineapple, mango).

Nothing special, with a bit too much protein in our opinion.

July 20th 2024: Japanese Food in Brookline

 Today, we started out by completing our hike of Brook Farm in Boston, where the path we took this time around is shown below in pink.

Nothing to see on the hike itself, although the Gardens Cemetery was not too bad itself.

For lunch, we decided to check out Kyuramen, a new ramen place in Brookline.

We got the YingYang Bowl (Tonkotsu Shoyu and Miso Ramen, Chashu Pork, Shrimp Tempura, Scallop, Baby Corn, Half Marinated Egg, Naruto Maki, Bamboo Shoots, Corn, Scallions),

the Yakitori Platter (Negima (chicken thigh), Gyu Harami (beef skirt steak, Baby Scallop, Zucchini, Butabara (pork belly)

and the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice Combo (demi glace sauce),

which came with a Thai Iced Tea.

Really good, and pretty authentic food. Especially liked the scallops. 

For dessert, we headed nearby to Kyo Matcha,

getting the Matcha Red Bean Milk Cap Cake,

the Charcoal Roll Cake

and the Matcha Latte Float.

Not bad, although my little one was not a fan of the matcha. Overall, a good day for Japanese food in Brookline.

July 14th 2024: Dairy Queen, Westborough

 Today, after getting a Chocolate Chip Muffie

and the Italiano

 from the Panera Bread in Westborough,

we decided to check out the Dairy Queen nearby, getting the Chili Cheese Dog

and the Strawberry Sundae.

Good for a quick bite.
