September 28th 2024: House of Pho, Framingham

 Today, we decided to have lunch at House of Pho, a new Vietnamese restaurant in Framingham that has taken the place of Welcome India at 770 Worcester Road. Decent inside.

We got the Ca Phe Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk),

the Nem Cuon Nha Trang (Vietnamese grilled pork spring rolls in an orange dipping sauce),

the Bun Bo Hue (vermicelli with lemongrass beef in beef broth and clean pox ham)

and the Pho Bo Vien (beef balls).

Pretty authentic, although the orange sauce for the spring rolls were not to my other half's standard.

September 21st 2024: RICE MA Mid Autumn Festival, Worcester

 Today, we started out getting a cake from Black Rose Bakery in Westborough, getting the Chocolate Decadence.

A tad sweet unfortunately. 

We then visited the new Kelly's Roast Beef location in Worcester, getting the Original 3-way (BBQ sauce, cheese, mayo).

Not bad actually, despite the long wait.

Finally we checked out the RICE MA Mid Autumn Festival. Similar to the Lunar New Year Festival, although my little one had a lot more fun painting lanterns and getting face painted.

before taking the ferry on Statue City Cruises

to get to Liberty Island with the Statue of Liberty

and Ellis Island.

Unfortunately, my phone ran out of battery while we were still on the boat. Thankfully I was allowed to charge my phone, but only managed to get a few pictures of the Statue of Liberty

and Ellis Island proper.

Overall, a productive day of sightseeing in NYC and Jersey City.
