September 8th 2019: Hampton Beach Seafood Festival, Hampton NH

Today, we decided to go check out the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival, going on at Hampton Beach State Park in Hampton NH, passing through Seabrook NH
Seabrook Nuclear Power Station

along the way.

We were lucky enough to find free parking not too far from the beach, and when we got there, the festival was already in full swing.

We got seafood of course, for pretty cheap I must say,

and a lemonade which was a tad sweet

from Loopie's Boardwalk Munchies.

The beach was full of people as well,

and I explored it all the way to the southern edge

with Seabrook across the harbor,

and the Hampton Bridge.

We also checked out the Blue Ocean Exploration Center, a small museum with a touch tank and observation tanks. Not worth a second visit.

Other things I saw here on the way back to the festival follow.
Hampton Beach Water Tower,
65 Church Street
Ocean Gaming Casino
Sand and Santa Gift Shop
Buc's Lagoon

September 7th 2019: Juniper, Wellesley

Today, we decided to have lunch at Juniper, an upscale Mediterranean restaurant in the town of Wellesley.
Nice decor, and interesting stuff on the menu, of which we got the Karshuf (artichoke and tahini),
the Chicken Tagine (braised chicken thighs, roasted raisins, toasted almonds, Israeli Couscous).
and the Dark Chocolate Budino (amarena cherries, ganache and hazelnut shortbread) for dessert.
The dip was really good, being just the right amount of salty. The tagine was simply amazing, with the butteriness of the couscous, the tenderness of the chicken, the smoky sweetness of the almonds and raisins. The best Mediterranean meal in my opinion. No wonder it's the top restaurant in town.

September 6th 2019: Company Celebration with Food

Today, we had a company celebration with lots of food, of which I got the Frozen Birthday Cake Dessert Bar from the Vee Bop's ice cream food truck,
and catered BBQ food from Smokestack Urban Barbecue in Worcester, of which I got Cucumber Salad, Mac N' Cheese, BBQ Beans, Cornbread, Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken Quarters, Wings, St. Louis Spare Ribs, Hot Dog, Hamburger, Veggie Burger and Cole Slaw.
The macaroni was heavenly, and the cornbread, beef and pork too, while everything else was pretty good as well. And to think I almost left early due to the food not having arrived earlier.

September 5th 2019: More Donuts from Donut Cafe, Worcester

My colleague brought donuts from Donut Cafe in Worcester today, of which I got the Boston Creme.

Pretty good actually, better than from Dunkin.

Today, I checked out the new Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital in Worcester, which has replaced the old Worcester State Hospital. The clock tower is still there, though refurbished now.

September 2nd 2019: Franklin Street Cafe, Framingham

We started out today with brunch at Franklin Street Cafe, a Brazilian cafe in the town of Framingham.

We got the Cashew Fruit Juice,

The Egg Salad Sandwich

And the Canjiquinha (corn grits soup).

The drink was not bad, although a little watered down. The sandwich was a little disappointing though, just having pieces of egg and sauce. The soup was pretty authentic though, and pretty much saved the entire meal. Not a bad place i should say.

September 1st 2019: Yamato Asian Bistro and Sushi, Spencer

Today for lunch, we decided to head to Spencer to check out Yamato Asian Bistro and Sushi. This place is apparently affiliated with the location in Taunton, which I visited a long time ago.
For food, we got the Shrimp Tempura Bento Box (served with salad, spring roll, california roll and white rice),
which came with a House Green Salad.
and the Chicken Pad Thai (Thai rice noodle, egg and lime, bean sprouts, ground peanuts) with Chicken Teriyaki and Vegetable Fried Rice.
Not bad food for cheap, but nothing special really.
