September 23rd 2017: Wedding in NYC

Today, we were back in NYC for a wedding,

Night Presence IV

heading to Brooklyn NY

St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church

Monsignor McGolrick Park

P.S. 110 The Monitor School

Church of St. Luke and St. Michael

for lunch at Selamat Pagi, a Malaysian restaurant in town at 152 Driggs Avenue,

getting the STICKY BLACK RICE (yogurt, fruit, coconut),

the Kaya Toast (coconut jam, soft slow poached egg, sambal tomat),
and the SPICY BEEF RENDANG (green papaya salad, rice, sunnyside-up egg)
Not too bad a meal.

Our hotel for the night was the Days Inn Brooklyn Crown Heights
but it was soon time to depart for the wedding at Maison May Dekalb.
Really happy for my friend. Wish them all the best.

September 22nd 2017: Dinner at Fotini's, Bolton

We decided to head out to Bolton tonight for dinner at Fotini's, a popular Italian bar restaurant in town.
We got the Homemade Clam Chowder,
the Fresh Haddock (Fresh Haddock Prepared Baked With Lemon Butter And A Light Ritz Cracker Topping)
and the Butternut Squash Ravioli (Sauteed In A Hazelnut Mascarpone Cream And Tossed With Grilled Chicken And Walnuts).
The soup was just alright, while the fish did not taste fresh, even having bones in it. Thankfully, the ravioli was pretty good, but by then we had pretty much lost our appetite for everything. Definitely not coming back again.

September 17th 2017: Stuffing Myself at Cafe Fleuri, Boston

Today, we decided to go check out Cafe Fleuri, an upscale restaurant within the Langham Hotel in Boston.
The restaurant holds a Sunday City Brunch buffet every week, which is what we were here for today.

The spread of food at the buffet was amazing,
with live entertainment as well.

The presentation of the food was exquisite as well.
Really delicious, but I was already full way before I could try everything. A little expensive, but worth the experience for once.

September 16th 2017: A Day of Sunflowers, Pears, Blueberries and Apples

Even though it was gloomy today, we took a chance and headed out to Colby Farm in Newbury,

where the sunflowers were blooming.
Definitely much better than Buttonwood Farm in Griswold CT, where the sunflowers were way too tall.
From here, we escaped the crowd to head to Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow for some fruit picking.
Apparently this place is way more popular than Tougas Farm in Northborough. We picked pears,
apples and blueberries
before finally calling it a day, heading to Westford for lunch at Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe, a Chinese takeout place serving pretty authentic Xian food, of which we got the Pork Flatbread Sandwich, Lamb Handpulled Noodle Soup and Hot Sour Dumpling Soup.
Not bad, although a little on the salty side. Maybe I'll check out their other locations in Woburn and Boston
