May 10th 2024: Company Lunch at Burton's Grill and Bar, Shrewsbury

 Today, we had a company lunch at Burton's Grill in Shrewsbury, where I got the Steak Frites (chargrilled flat iron, house chimichurri, parmesan truffle fries).

Pretty good, although somehow the meat was cold. That's what I get for ordering rare.

May 7th 2024: Restaurant Pizza Works, Worcester

 Today, we decided to get bites at Restaurant Pizza Works in Worcester,

getting the French Fries

and the Meaty Meat (Hamburger, Italian sausage, pepperoni, shaved steak, and marinated grilled chicken).

Not bad for a quick bite between classes.

May 5th 2024: Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill CT

 Today, we stopped by the Paris Baguette location at 977 8th Avenue,

getting the Smoked Sausage Bread,

the Croissant Donut with Nutella,

the Pizzetta with Strawberry and Nutella and Crab Meat Croquette.

Pretty good start to the day.

From here, it was on to Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill CT for more dinosaurs for the little one.

There are also walking trails here, the path which we took being shown below in pink.

Nothing much to see though.

For lunch, it was on to Wethersfield CT at Kaliubon Ramen, a pretty nice ramen place in town.

We got the Kaliubon Dumpling (pork, shrimp, crispy shallot, cilantro, scallions, tomato, peanuts, sichuan chili sauce),

the Kid's Ramen (veggie broth)

the Kaliubon Ramen (creamy broth, ground pork, chashu, scallions, onion, peanuts, sesame seeds, cilantro, nori, aji-tama).

and the Crispy Tofu Poke (sweet chili gochujang).

I must say the broths had really good flavor, the best to date actually. With that, we were done with our stints outside Massachusetts.

May 4th 2024: American Dream, East Rutherford NJ

 This morning, we stopped by Manhattan NY

to have brunch at Dim Sum Sam, a Chinese restaurant at 240 West 40th Street and other locations in the area.

We got the Fresh Soy Milk

Crispy Pork Belly,

the Pork and Thousand Year Egg Congee, Roast Duck Dumpling, Shrimp and Pork Wonton Noodle Soup,

and the Spicy Mushroom Dumpling

Pretty good food, especially the crisp pork skin.

From here, it was on to East Rutherford NJ,

MetLife Stadium

where we decided to check out the second largest shopping mall in America, American Dream. This place is big because of all the theme parks here, but I felt King of Prussia Mall was bigger due to all the walking needed there.

Big Snow

While here, we had dinner at the Jollibee here, getting the 1 pc + Palabok

and the Jolly Spaghetti, the Peach Mango Pie and the French Fries.

My only complaint is the palabok, which was simplistic and just salty.

We also got a Strawberry Lemonade from Pora,

and a Pomegranate Berry Smoothie from Haagen Dazs.

The smoothie as horrible tasting unfortunately.

From here, we decided to take a ride on the Dream Wheel,

Next, it was the New Jersey Sea Life Aquarium. Pretty small I must say.

From here, it was on to the LEGOLAND® Discovery Center here, where the little one had a lot of fun, especially testing the earthquake machine.

With that, we called it a day, heading to our home for the day at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fairfield Hotel and Suites.

Not sure how this place has a 4 star rating.
