23rd April 2025: Colorblends House and Spring Garden, Bridgeport CT

After running some errands in Manhattan NY, we got food from Dimsum Garden. which I was unfortunately unable to visit myself because I couldn't find parking anywhere. I could only sample the food on the way home, when we stopped by Pine Brook Park in Mamaroneck NY.

I was able to try the Scallop and Shrimp with Pea Sprout Dumpling, Crabmeat and Shrimp with Spinach Dumpling, Pan Fried Veg Dumpling,

the Shanghai Soup Dumpling, Black Truffle with Mushroom Dumpling and Mixed Vegetable Dumpling.

Overall, nothing special, probably because the food was cold, and there was too much vegetables.

From here, we headed to Bridgeport CT,

Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ
Calvary St. George's Episcopal Church
Bridgeport Tabernacle Seventh Day Adventist Church

St. Peter's Catholic Church

checking out the flower blooms and the museum at Colorblends House and Spring Garden.

That Statue of Liberty image made with dice, goes for $10, 000 by the way. With that, a nice way to end our three day road trip.

April 21st 2025: Daffodils and Shopping in Connecticut

Today, we headed toward Goshen NY, passing by Hartford CT,

Park Place Towers
stopping in Southington CT for a quick bite at the Chick-fil-A here,
getting the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich,
the Cobb Salad (Chick-fil-A® Nuggets, freshly breaded and pressure-cooked, sliced and served on a fresh bed of mixed greens, topped with roasted corn kernels, a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, crumbled bacon, sliced hard-boiled egg and grape tomatoes. )

and the 5 Ct Nuggets Kid's Meal.
With that, it was time to continue our journey again, this time stopping at Laurel Ridge Farm in Litchfield CT for the blooming fields of daffodils there.

Definitely the right time to come and visit.

After a quick stop in Thomaston CT,
Black Rock Lake

we headed to the Danbury Fair mall in Danbury CT,

getting dinner at the Cheesecake Factory there.

We got the Lemon-Garlic Shrimp (sauteed shrimp, basil, tomato and lemon-garlic sauce. Served with asparagus and angel hair pasta)
the Carne Asada Steak (steak medallions covered with sauteed peppers, onions and cilantro. Served with creamy ranchero sauce, fresh corn and white rice)
and the Mango Key Lime Cheesecake (topped with Mango mousse on a vanilla coconut macaroon crust).

The pasta was not bad, but the pieces of steak were a tad small, and the cheesecake way too sweet. Overall, an okay meal.

We ended our day at our hotel in Goshen NY, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Goshen Middletown.

Looking forward to Legoland tomorrow!
