Lunch today was at Rice Violet, a new Thai place in downtown Worcester.
We got the Trio Madness (combination of chicken, beef and pork with onions, celery, scallions, mushrooms and cashew nut, sauteed in spicy sriracha sauce)
and the Veggie Nice Sampler (Vegetarian Combinations of corn cake (Fresh corn with flour mixed chili paste, deep fried, served with sweet and sour sauce), chive dumpling (fried, served with ginger soy sauce, 2 pcs), veggie dumpling (fried, served with ginger soy sauce, 2 pcs), samosa bag (Crispy wonton wrapper stuffed with potato and curry powder. Served with sweet and sour sauce, 3 pcs), kale crispy roll (Crispy spring roll stuffed with kale, taro and tofu. Served with sweet and sour sauce, 3 pcs) and tofu triangle (Deep fried tofu served with sweet and sour sauce. Topped with ground peanut, 4 pcs). Served with sweet and sour sauce, and ginger sauce).
for food, and the Sticky Rice with Mango
and Banana Rolls for dessert.
Of all the food, only the corn cakes and samosa bags were really good. Everything else was just average. Not coming back again, I think.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.

I've been eating at that restaurant since it opened and have never had a bad meal. I think they are one of the best Thai Restaurants in the state.http://www.riceviolet.com
ReplyDeleteI have to say the Thai restaurants in the Boston area, especially in Brookline, are much better though.
