We decided to check out Juliet, a nice and popular brunch place in Somerville, for breakfast today.
By the time we got to the cafe, it looked like there would be no space for us, but thankfully, as we decided to order from the Price Fixe menu which guaranteed us a spot at the bar, we just had to line up to have our orders taken before being ushered to our seats.
For drinks, we got Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice and House Tea Blend (with saffron and cardomom). As we were not previously informed that the price fixe meal came with orange juice as well, we had another for an additional 4 dollars as a result.
Both were pretty good though, the tea not being too strong in flavor.
For food, we had complimentary Apple and Cinnamon Bread Starters,
the Avocado and Grapefruit Toast with Half Boiled Egg
and the Grand Breakfast (roast beef hash, two fried eggs, buttered toast, sliced tomato, pickled mussels).
I have to say that even though the food was pretty tasty, the portions were extremely small, and it was a wonder that we even felt full at the end of it all. Not worth it in my opinion, but somehow the people keep coming.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
