We celebrated our parents' birthdays at Exchange Street Bistro in Malden today. It was a really busy night, so it was a good thing we had made reservations beforehand. As always, we got the ESB Signature Tapas Plate,
the Roasted Chicken (sweet potato mash, green beans, almonds, dried cranberries, mushrooms, chicken), the Lamb Chops (white bean ragout, winter greens, turnips, cipollini onions, sun dried tomatoes, red wine demi), the Grilled Salmon (pumpkin risotto, brussel sprouts, house bacon, dried cranberries, beurre blanc) and the Seared Diver Scallops (carrot puree, shaved brussels sprouts, house bacon, cauliflower, beluga lentils, arugula and basil pesto).
Everything was delicious as always, especially the chicken which was perfectly cooked.
For dessert, we got the Brownie Sundae (ice cream, candied walnuts, caramel and chocolate sauce) and NY Style Cheesecake (blueberry compote, whipped cream), which came topped with candles for our parents.
Simply excellent, especially the different textures and flavors in the sundae.
Overall, yet another perfect meal at this place, minus the noise.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
