We had dinner tonight at the new restaurant in Northborough, Casta Diva Restaurant and Lounge, which has taken the place of Guiseppe's Grille, which I visited a long time ago. Same layout, nicer decor.
We got the Escargot al Limone (sauteed escargot with onions, garlic and herbs in a lemon white wine sauce served with garlic bread) for appetizers.
Not bad combination of flavors, though bordering on being too salty.
For our main dish, we got the Vitello Napolitana (with sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, capers, roasted peppers in a garlic white wine sauce),
which came with a Zuppa del Pollo (Chicken Vegetable),
and Fried Potatoes.
Having no pasta, we decided to order a side of Alfredo la Rosa Sauce as well.
The soup was pretty good, relying on natural ingredients for its flavor, although the potatoes were a little on the hard side.
The pasta went really well with the veal though, not being too intense in flavor either. Finally, we had Tiramisu for dessert.
A perfect ending to a nice dinner out, which I have not had in a while.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
