I started out today finishing off the town of Glocester RI,
Marion Irons Beach, 619 Snake Hill Road |
then heading into the town of Scituate RI,
Peeptoad Pond, 319 Elmdale Road |
Samuel Tourtellot Memorial Commons, 554 West Greenville Road |
Moswansicut Pond, 41 Hartford Pike |
Betty Pond, Betty Pond Road and East Road |
and Johnston RI,
where I got a Barbecue Chicken Pizza
from
Pizza Palace. Pretty tasty when fresh.
From here, it was on to the town of Cranston RI,
Knightsville Park, Cranston Street and Phenix Avenue |
1390 Cranston Street |
Peter Pastore Youth Center, 155 Gansett Avenue |
City Hall, 869 Park Avenue |
War Memorial, Rolfe Street and Pontiac Avenue |
Blackamore Pond, 247 Aqueduct Road |
Oaklawn Grange Memorial Park, Wilbur Avenue and Exchange Street |
Curran Upper Reservoir, 374 Seven Mile Road |
where I got my second meal at
Brooklyn Brothers Gourmet Deli,
getting the Buffalo Burger (hamburger, bacon, buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese).
which was actually not bad, especially with bacon.
With that, I went into West Warwick,
Old Providence Street School, 819 Providence Street |
Old Valley Queen Mill, 200 Providence Street |
Royal Mills Dam, 125 Providence Street |
War Memorial Park, Legion Way and Providence Street |
Pawtuxet River Dam, 33 Factory Street |
Old Arctic Mill, 33 Factory Street |
Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 48 Highland Street |
Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 62 Pleasant Street |
and stepped into Coventry for a bit.
Pawtuxet River Dam, 538 Main Street |
With that, I called it a day for sightseeing. For dinner, we headed to
Scutra, an upscale European restaurant back in Arlington MA.
For food, we got the Mini Taco Board (Spiced Shrimp Salad, Turkey Chili, Avocado, Tomato, Cheese)
and the Prosciutto Wrapped Cod (Parmesan Sea Scallop Warm Roasted Zucchini Salsa - Sun-dried Tomato Pesto).
Really excellent food I must say, although I think I left my credit card behind.
With that, an excellent end to a day of no hiking in Rhode Island.
