We decided to check out the lunch Buffet at Chinese Mirch in Shrewsbury. The food choices here included the Chilled Szechuan Cabbage, the Plain Naan, the Vegetable Spring Rolls (rolls stuffed with wok tossed vegetables), the Ginger Corn Fried Rice, the Sweet Corn Soup (cream of corn soup), the Hakka Noodles (soft lo mein noodles), the Vegetable Manchurian (Minced carrot, corn and green bean fritters tossed in a minced onion, ginger, garlic and cilantro sauce), the Saag Paneer, the Bhature, the Pindi Chole, the Mango Pudding, the Chicken Tikka Masala (Marinated breast of chicken, lamb or paneer cooked in a rich tomato cream sauce), the Goat Curry, the Chicken Biryani (Bone in. Basmati rice cooked with tender pieces of young chicken, blended with herbs and spices then garnished egg, onion and lemon), the Tandoori Chicken Tikka (Chicken thighs marinated in hung yogurt, garam masala, chili and fresh cilantro), the Chilli Chicken Dry (Diced chicken served in a classic soy chili sauce) and the Chicken Hot Garlic (Diced chicken in a crushed garlic and chili sauce).
Of the dishes, the spring rolls, spinach cheese, mango pudding and noodles were just alright, while the fried rice had too much ginger to them.Other than that, everything else was pretty good. Wish they had more dessert varieties though.
