Today, we decided to have brunch at Via Italian Table in Worcester. I have been here several times in the past for lunch or dinner, but never for brunch. For food, we got the LOBSTER EGGS BENEDICT (sautéed lobster over a toasted English muffin, sauteed spinach, sous vide poached eggs and hollandaise sauce served with lyonnaise potatoes),
the SHORT RIB EGGS BENEDICT (short rib over a toasted English muffin, soft poached sous vide eggs and hollandaise sauce served with lyonnaise potatoes),
the LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES WITH LOCAL HONEY BUTTER (served with local maple syrup from Shattuck Sugar Shack, seasonal berries, limoncello drizzle)the Scarmbled Eggs (served with Frites),and the ESPRESSO BROWNIE SUNDAE (two housemade brownies enriched with espresso powder, chocolate chips, and espresso frosting. Served with a scoop of gelato, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.)I have to say, the brunch was one of the better ones I have had to date, the benedicts being excellent in flavor, the pancakes having the tangy lemon yet sweet taste, and the presentation was impeccable for all the dishes, especially the dessert, although the sweetness became overwhelming after a while. Overall, great choice coming here for brunch.
