August 31st 2025: Lee's Sandwiches, Worcester

 Today was the opening day for the first Lee's Sandwiches location in Massachusetts, within the Webster Square Plaza in Worcester at 68 Stafford Street.

The line was long, with small cups of Lee's Coffee being given out to those waiting in line,

but eventually we made it to be able to get our order taken inside the small place,

where we got the Filtered Coffee (Iced),

the Egg, Sausage and Cheese Croissant,

the Grilled Pork (Served on 10 inch Baguette, Includes: Grilled Pork, House Pickle (Daikon & Carrot), Onion, Jalapeno, Cilantro, Salt & Pepper, Soy Sauce, and House Mayonnaise)

and the Special Combination (Served on 10 inch Baguette, Includes: Jambon, Headcheese, Pork Roll, and Pâté, House Pickle (Daikon & Carrot), Onion, Jalapeno, Cilantro, Salt & Pepper, Soy Sauce, and House Mayonnaise).

Honestly, I have had better sandwiches, the meat being on the dry side here with not much else in terms of flavor. At least we got a lot of free stuff.

August 30th 2025: A Day in Niantic, East Lyme CT

 Today, we decided to head into Niantic, a beach area in East Lyme CT,

Niantic Baptist Church

Saint Agnes Church

Saint John's Episcopal Church

checking out the Niantic Children's Museum.

From here, we headed to Tony D's Craft Creamery nearby,

getting the For the Luv of Chocolate flavor.

Somehow, it felt a little powdery to me, but at least the little one loved it. From here, we continued down Main Street,

reaching Sift Bake Shop,

where we got the Turkey Sandwich (brie, thin sliced green apple, spinach, cranberry, aioli on a croissant) and Coconut Custard Croissant,

and the Butterfly Lemonade.

Not bad, especially with the cranberry sauce on the side.

From here, we headed to the beach, and along the way we chanced upon an event going on at Gumdrops & Lollipops Candy & Ice Cream, 

where we managed to get free strawberry

and raspberry sorbet ice cream.

We headed to the Hole in the Wall Beach from here,

where there is the Niantic Bay Boardwalk on the left,

leading to Niantic Bay Beach at the other end,

and McCook Point Park on the right,

which has its own beach as well.

A perfect day spent in Niantic, and to think that I had thought we would have nothing much to do today.

August 18th 2025: Second Time at Wow Bao, Boston

 Today, while waiting for our flight in Boston, we decided to get some food, getting potstickers 

and the Spicy Kong Pao Chicken from Wow Bao.

I did not get to try the potstickers, but the chicken was horrendous. Will do something else next time.

August 17th 2025: Quick Bites in Grafton

 Today, while in Grafton, we decided to get some quick bites, getting French Fries

and Esquite Corn from Taqueria Acapulcos, a Mexican food cart on the side of the road in a small shopping plaza at 135 Westboro Road.

We also got some pizza from Neko's of New York Pizza & Burrito Company in the same plaza.

Not too bad for quick bites while going for open houses in the area.
