We started out this morning in Dartmouth,
 |
Russells Mills Pond, 885 Rock O'Dundee Road |
going on a hike at
Parsons Reserve to find the daffodil field here, which was in bloom today and with many visitors. The path we took here to view the daffodils is shown below in pink.
A little steep at the very beginning, but a short distance to the daffodils overall, which were exceptional today.
Lunch was at
Sivalai Thai Cuisine, a Thai restaurant in town with pretty nice decor inside.
We got the Chicken Spicy Dumplings (Fried, stuffed with chicken and Vegetable. Served with ginger sauce)
the Dumpling Tom Yum (Stuffed pork dumpling with Tom Yum soup spicy and sour),
the Num Tok (Spicy Beef Salad, grilled beef with red onion, cilantro roasted ground rice and scallion, mixed with spicy lime dressing)
and the Pad Kee-Mao (Drunken Noodles, stir fried wide rice noodles, with egg, broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, basil leaves).
The dumplings were just so-so, the tom yum being a tad sweet, but the smokiness of the beef in the salad and the noodles more than made up for them. Overall, glad we decided to check this place out.
From here, it was on to Fall River,
 |
Old Fisher Memorial Chapel, 442 North Main Street |
 |
Old Bank Street Armory, 72 Bank Street |
 |
Fall River Government Center, 1 Government Center |
 |
The Mount Apartments, 1017 Middle Street |
 |
Griffin Park, 4th Street and Branch Street |
 |
Pulaski Park, 466 Warren Street |
 |
Advent Christian Church, 70 Coral Street |
 |
Maplewood Park, 10 Albert Street |
checking out the
Children's Museum of Greater Fall River,
From here, we passed through Tiverton RI
on the way to
Providence Place in Providence RI,
where we got a Cashew Juice
and a Lemonade
and Spicy Tteokbokki (chewy rice cakes in a spicy gochujang sauce with fresh cabbage and scallions) from
Kong Dog.
Not too bad an end to a day of daffodils in Dartmouth and exploring Fall River.
