September 26th 2026: BBQ Land, Shrewsbury

Today. we decided to check out the new Korean BBQ restaurant in Shrewsbury at 31 Boston Turnpike, BBQ Land. Decent decor inside.

They use lard as the oil to coat the grill with,
and provide the following sauces: Sweet Soy (a smooth, balanced soy based dipping sauce that enhances the natural flavor of grilled meats without overwhelming them), Fruit and Ginger Sauce (a savory sweet sauce with bold fruit and ginger flavors, finished with subtle notes of red and white wine. Bright and aromatic, Ir pairs beautifully with both grilled and marinated meats), Savory Chili Seasoning (a fragrant dry blend of toasted soybeans, chili, cumin, and Sichuan Peppercorn, with a warm, savory heat and subtile tingle), Ssamjang (A classic Korean-style dipping sauce with deep fermented soybean flavor and a touch of chili heat. Perfect for richer cuts of meat and lettuce wraps).
We got the Meat Lover for 2 People (Whole Cut Prime Filet Mignon (lean, tender with a buttery-soft bite). Thin Sliced Brisket Wrapped  Enoki Mushrooms (juicy, savory bite with a delicate, crisp finish), Boneless Short Rib (tender, richly marbled, delivering a juicy bite), Lamb Chop, Spicy Chicken Thigh, Assorted Vegetables),

which came with Pickled Daikon (tangy and crisp), Signature Kimchi (sweet, spicy and tangy),BBQ Land

the House Salad (gem lettuce, red leaf lettuce, Romaine and arugula with little red radishes),BBQ Land
the Spicy Beef Soup (Yukgaejang, rich and fiery),

BBQ Land

the BBQLAND Karaage (fried chicken with a savory crunch),

  BBQ Land

and the Sweet Red Bean with Mochi Drops for dessert.

  BBQ Land

Really good quality meat and taste. Definitely better than Omi nearby.
