September 8th 2018: Lunch at Daikanyama, Newton

Today, we decided to have lunch at Daikanyama, a somewhat upscale Japanese restaurant located within the Bloomingdale's at the Shops at Chestnut Hill in Newton.

For food, we got the Chawan Mushi (egg custard with seafood and vegetables)

and the Saba Shio (with Shumai
(Fried Shrimp dumplings), Nasu Dengaku (Broiled eggplant with miso sauce), Gyoza (Pan Fried Pork dumplings)),

which came with a Daikanyama Salad (Baby greens with special house dressing) and Miso Soup (soybean soup),

As well as the Matcha Mousse (smooth and delicate Japanese matcha custard and matcha powder) for dessert.

Not bad in terms of presentation, but much better in terms of quality of ingredients and flavor. A little on the expensive side, but worth it in our opinion.

September 6th 2018: Checking Out the Historical Society in Milford

Today, I decided to go check out the Historical Society in Milford, a pretty nice museum located within the Memorial Hall.

After leaving the museum I decided to get some lunch from Bread Bowl Cafe, a relatively new vegan place nearby.

I got the Broccoli and Cheese Bread Bowl with Chips and Potato Salad, as the name of the place recommends I should,

Not bad actually, although I did not take to the onions in the potato salad. Overall though, nothing really special here.

September 5th 2018: A Quick Lunch at Nourish Cafe, Westborough

I decided to have lunch at Nourish Cafe, a pretty nice place

located within the Release Well-Being Center in Westborough.

I got the Sunshine Avocado Toast (toasted organic sourdough topped with fresh Hass Avocado, one fried organic egg, pink Himalayan sea salt and red pepper flakes),

which was pretty flavorful, although a tad expensive.

September 4th 2018: Checking Out the Massachusetts State Police Museum, Grafton

I checked out the Massachusetts State Police Museum in Grafton,

one of the better museums in the area, then headed to Jube's Family Restaurant, a diner in the town of Northbridge, for lunch.

I got the Mr. Potato Head (mashed potatoes, potato skins, bacon and sour cream) Pizza,

which was actually pretty good and unique, with the mashed potatoes on top. Definitely one of the better eating places in town.

September 1st 2018: 2 More Museums in Quincy and Hull

I had some time to kill today, so I first headed to the Quincy Historical Society,

Then passed through the new Fore River Bridge in Weymouth

on the way to visit the Paragon Park Museum in Hull, which was the more interesting of the two.

From here, I headed to the Prudential Center in Boston, getting a box of Matcha Green Tea Caramels (The Zen caramel, dipped in white chocolate infused with all-natural matcha green tea).

from Sugarfina, a pretty upscale candy store.

Pretty good for what they were, but a tad expensive.

Next, I went to the Eataly area,

getting a Beef Brisket (beef from Diamond Creek Ranch in KS, seasoned with signature brisket rub) Sandwich from La Rosticceria,

which did not have any other ingredients than the meat itself, although it was pretty tasty by itself.

Next, I got the Cannoli Trio (Cioccolato (sweet chocolate with 70% extra dark chocolate), Lampone (sweet ricotta swirled with raspberry gelee), Tiramisu (espresso infused sponge cake with marscapone))

from Cannoli and Rose Bar.

 Nothing special here though. Finally, I got a Hazelnut Cake from Caffe Lavazza.

which was a tad sweet, unfortunately.
