April 11th 2017: Waterfalls in Wilton, NH

With the high temperatures today, we decided to venture out for our first hike in a long while, to look for the Garwin Falls, located within the town of Wilton NH.

First Unitarian Congregational Society
Souhegan River, Mill Street

We embarked on our journey at 805 Isaac Frye Highway, walking into the woods following the trail, taking a side trail to the first waterfall.
Further down the trail was the dam,
but the best part was to be even further downstream, as you can see.
Next, it was on to the Horseshoe Falls at 88 Burns Hill Road in town, which is more of a local swimming hole where people like to jump into the water, at an area with a series of rapids.
Next, we ventured into the town of Milford NH
N.H. Antique Co-op
Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Milford
to try to find the Tucker Brook Falls at the Tucker Brook Town Forest, but ended up venturing into the Tucker Brook North area, which is on the opposite side at 65 Whitten Road. By the time we realized our mistake, it was slowly getting dark, so we decided to end our waterfall search for the day, heading into the town center
Milford Oval,
Union Square and Elm Street
Odd Fellows' Hall,

Town Hall, 1 Union Square
for pizza at Foodee's,

where we got the half The Karnivour Pizza (Pepperoni, bacon, sweet & hot sausage, hamburg, meatballs, and 3–cheese blend) and half Reuben (Reuben sauce, corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, 3-cheese blend and sliced dills.),
and the half General Gao's Pizza (Spicy plum sauce, tender white chicken, roasted red peppers, 3-cheese blend, sesame seeds) and half Pesto Pizza (A delicate pesto sauce (basil, pine nuts, olive oil, garlic, and selected spices) topped with mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan).
All the pizzas were pretty good, especially the Reuben, and my other half agreed as well. With that, we headed for home, grabbing more pizza from Sophia's Pizzeria in Townsend back in Massachusetts, namely the Veggie Pizza
and the Spicy Chicken Fra Diavolo Pizza.

Way too much veggies for the former for me, and a little too spicy for the latter. Foodee's is definitely much better, especially with half and half pizzas.
