February 28th 2021: Street Kitchen, Marlborough

 Today, we decided to check out Street Kitchen, an Indian fusion place in Marlborough looking more like a pizza joint.

We got the Paneer Tikka (VG) Pasta (Paneer, Tikka masala, Exotic herbs, and a generous helping of new flavored sauce),

the Unda Biryani (Aromatic authentic Indian-style basmati rice dish, marinated in exotic herbs and topped with boiled eggs),

and the Bombay Chicken Pizza (Bombay-style Garlic-infused Chicken, Pineapple Mango Curry, Green Bell Peppers, Mozzarella cheese).

Very interesting menu to say the least. The pasta and pizza were very tasty too, the crust for the pizza crispy too. The only disappointment was the rice, which we thought had lamb in it, but turned out to only contain eggs, being a typo on the menu, which was just alright in my opinion. Still I will come back

February 27th 2021: Free Pizza from Fastway Pizza, Worcester

 While at work today, I chanced upon a work party, where the supervisor offered me some pizza, which came from Fastway Pizza in Worcester, which I have visited before in the past. I got the Bacon and Hamburg Pizzas,

Very good pizzas, although I already had dinner before this.

February 26th 2021: Pho and Thai, Westborough

Today, we decided to venture out to Pho and Thai, a new Thai place in Westborough with pretty nice decor.

We got the Drunken Noodles (famous sir fry spicy Thai noodles with large flat rice noodle with Thai spicy basil sauce),

the Chicken and Rice Noodle Soup (mixed chicken with rice noodle in  chicken broth),

and the Tomyum Noodle Soup (Thai style hot and sour soup with rice noodles combined with chicken, mushroom, scallion, lime juice, Thai chili in aromatic Thai herbs, sprinkled with scallion and cilantro).

The drunken noodles were a tad too spicy, with very little noodles, and the chicken soup was pretty bland, although my little one liked it, without the chicken of course. The tom yum soup was not bad, thankfully. Overall though, nothing special here in my opinion, despite the nice decor.

February 25th 2021: Old and New at White City Plaza, Shrewsbury

 Today, we decided to get takeout from Pho Sure in Shrewsbury. While arriving, I noticed a new bakery a few doors down, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and I had to go check it out and get something. Pretty nice inside, and apparently this place has a few locations within the state and elsewhere.

I got the White Chocolate Raspberry flavor,

which was cute in appearance, but a tad sweet. Not sure if I will have it again.

From Pho Sure, we got the Pho Beef Meatball and the Crazy Noodles (Mì xào giòn,

A nest of crispy fried egg noodles topped with stir-fried vegetables & chicken).

Been a while since we last ate at this place. Pretty good stuff from here as always, though a little Americanized.

February 22nd 2021: More from Thai Place, Shrewsbury

 We got takeout again from Thai Place in Shrewsbury, this time getting the Tom Yum Seafood Soup (Thai hot and sour soup with a mixture of shrimp, scallops, squid, crab meat, fish filet and citrus flavors),

the Spicy Noodles (Stir fried Thai noodle with egg, chicken, onions, peppers, cabbage, carrots, snow peas, broccoli, string beans, zucchini, scallions in spicy sauce. Finished with holly basil leaves.)

and the Pho (A comforting seasoned broth over rice noodles with cilantro, onion, tomato, lime juice and bean sprout with choice of chicken, beef, pork or shrimp)

Excellent stuff, even the Vietnamese noodles coming from a Thai place.

February 21st 2021: Family Table, Worcester

 Today, we decided to venture out to Family Table, a new brunch place in Worcester. Pretty decent decor, and popular too.

We got the GIANT MICKEY PANCAKE (Topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream),

the FLORENTINO Benedict (Fresh baby spinach, sliced tomato, house-made hollandaise on a toasted English muffin, SERVED WITH TWO PERFECTLY POACHED EGGS AND HOMEFRIES),

the CHICKEN TENDERS (3 crispy chicken tenders served with choice of side and honey mustard dip),

and the STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE French Toast (Stuffed cream cheese glaze & fresh strawberries french toast topped with strawberry sauce and whipped cream).

The chicken finers were just alright, although the pancake was cute and fluffy, and the benedict was excellent. The toast was a little strong on cinnamon at first, but eventually mixed well with the strawberry sauce. Pretty good diner, to say the least.

February 18th 2021: Takeout from Chipotle Mexican Grill, Shrewsbury

 Today, we decided to get takeout from Chipotle Mexican Grill in Shrewsbury, getting the Burrito Bowl,

and the Steak Burrito.

Been a while since I last had Mexican food.

February 16th 2021: Thai Corner, Worcester

 Today, I got takeout from Thai Corner, a new restaurant in Worcester that has taken over from Friends Cafe, which I visited once before. The decor is very sparse now though. I got the Khao Soi (The famous northern noodles in delicious mix of light yellow curry, chicken, scallions, and fried shallots),

which was alight I guess, but very Americanized. Not going back again.

February 10th 2021: Takeout from Buffalo Wild Wings, Shrewsbury

 Today, we decided to get takeout from Buffalo Wild Wings in Shrewsbury, getting the 15/15 WING BUNDLE (5 TRADITIONAL WINGS / 15 BONELESS WINGS / HANDSPUN IN Sweet BBQ and Spicy Garlic/NATURAL-CUT FRENCH FRIES).

The sweet BBQ was a little on the salty side, but overall not bad for cheap.

February 7th 2021: Dimsum on a Snowy Day at Ming's Seafood, Quincy

 Today, we managed to head to Quincy before it started snowing, and decided to have dimsum at Ming's Seafood. In the Covid climate, there are no more pushcarts going around the restaurant, so we got to order off the menu, and hence we had an opportunity to order more exotic things from the menu. We got the Pan Fried Turnip Cake with XO Sauce,

the Bean Curd Pudding,

the Baked Egg Tarts,

the Deep Fried Sweet Durian Pastry,

the Pan Fried Pork Buns,

the Salted Egg Yolk Lava Bun with Cuttlefish Sauce,

the Honeycomb Ox Tripe in Satay Sauce, Siu Mai (Pork and Shrimp Dumplings), Shrimp Dumplings with Truffle Cuttlefish Sauce,

and the Shrimp with Red Rice Roll.

Excellent meal as always from this place, although there wasn't much durian to speak of in the pastry, and the squid ink did not add much to the original versions of the dishes they were put in. Wouldn't recommend getting them again.

February 5th 2021: Second Time at Chashu Ramen, Worcester

 Today, we decided to get dinner from Chashu Ramen in Worcester, which I had takeout from a few months ago. This time, I got to see the inside of the bar restaurant, which was pretty fancy.

I got the Abura (santaka tare, smoke bacon, chashu, soft boiled egg, shiitake, enoki mushroom, scallion, sate oil),

the Chicken Karaage (marinated, fried chicken, spicy mayo, pickled relish, togarashi)

and the Beef Tenderloin Kushi (garlic butter).

The skewer and fried chicken were pretty flavorful, although the ramen was a little on the salty side. I think I'm done with this place. There are definitely better ramen places around town.

February 4th 2021: Work Dinner from El-Basha, Worcester

 Working late today, we decided to get takeout from El-Basha, a Mediterranean restaurant in Worcester I have been to a few times before I started this blog. I don't remember it being this fancy inside.

I got the Seafood Mixed Grill ( Swordfish, salmon,and shrimp) and Homus Blahme (Served with sautéed ground meat).

The hummus was pretty good especially with the ground meat, although the fish was really dry in the main dish. Thankfully the shrimp was smoky flavored.

February 3rd 2021: KFC and Tavern in the Square, Shrewsbury

 Today, we were craving for some fried chicken, and the KFC in Shrewsbury was the obvious choice, from which we gor the 4 Piece Combo.

Got to have some fast food once in a while.

For dinner, I had to work late again, so we got takeout from Tavern in the Square in Shrewsbury, getting the Bayou Chicken Pasta (spicy blackened chicken, sweet corn, jalapeño, bacon, parmesan cream)

and the BBQ Chicken Pizza (bbq sauce, sharp provolone, fire roasted corn, bacon, onion jam).

The pasta was excellent, especially with its sauce, although the pizza was just alright, especially because of the onions.
