May 26th 2024: Miller State Park, Peterborough NH

Today, while in Peterborough NH, we decided to head up to the top of Pack Monadnock at Miller State Park, where we were allowed to drive up the auto road for 10 bucks. Nice views at the top,

where we were able to climb up to the fire tower,

Unfortunately, the sky was not clear enough to see Boston from here.

From here, we stopped by Ben's Sugar Shack in Temple NH,

getting their Maple Monster (maple soft serve ice cream served on top of a maple sugar donut, drizzled with maple syrup and topped with a maple cream cookie).
Not a bad end to a wonderful day for a pseudo hike.

February 5th 2019: Venturing into Temple and Peterborough, NH

We decided to visit the Bao Chon Zen Temple in Peterborough NH today, passing by Temple NH
Town Hall, 7 Main Street
Town Common,
Senator Tobey Highway and Firehouse Lane
Congregational Church of Temple
Pretty nice Buddhist temple, set atop a hilly area.
After having a delicious vegetarian lunch at the temple, we decided to stop for dessert on the way back home in Worcester at Fuel America, which I visited pretty recently. This time around, we got the Dirty Chai Latte (spiced black tea, lightly sweetened and steamed with High Lawn Farm Milk, with a shot of Espresso)
and the Ricotta & Honey Toast (toast with Ricotta cheese, honey, mint & toasted sunflower seeds).
Both drink and food tasted weird. I think I will not recommend this place any more. At least I got to visit 2 new towns.
