April 10th 2022: Space Zero, Braintree

 Today, we decided to go check out the new trampoline park for kids, Space Zero, located within the Southshore Mall in Braintree. Before that, we had lunch at Hundred Miles Chinese Restaurant in Quincy, a pretty nice restaurant with interesting design at 217 Quincy Avenue taking over from JazzMoon, a karaoke place I visited a while back.

We got the Hot and Sour Soup,

the Spicy Beef Shank with Noodles Soup,

the Poached Fish Fillet in Chili Sauce,

the Beef Shank and Tripe in Mala Chili Sauce,

and the Spicy Wontons in Hot Chili Oil.

Excellent flavor for all the dishes, not too numbing, sweet or salty, just the right combination of taste. One of the best Szechuan places I have been to to date.

From here, it was on to Space Zero. I must admit, this is the first trampoline park I have seen that is more oriented towards kids,

although a little dangerous as the kids did not care to look if there were other kids in the ball pits before jumping in. We had to buy socks to wear just to get into the area, which I had to do to look after my little one.  At least my little one had lots of fun there.

April 9th 2022: Spending the Day with My Little One in Harvard

We started out today with a hike at the WestOak-Dunlap area in the town of Harvard, where the path we took is shown below in pink.

Really nice beaver pond here, although you can't see it on the map.

From here, we headed into the downtown area of town,

I got the Hot Dog (jumbo beef dog), which came with a bag of chips.

Nothing special though.

April 8th 2022: Town Center Pizza, Northborough

 Today, we decided to get dinner takeout from Town Center Pizza, a pizza place in Northborough,

getting the Frango Passarinho (with Yuka),

the Extravaganza (Calabresa, ham, chicken, bacon, corn, palm hearts, egg, olives, and cream cheese spread),

and the Steak Tip Broccoli Alfredo (with garlic).

The chicken was really crispy, while the pizza was pretty good with all its ingredients. The pasta was not bad too, being very creamy. Overall, pretty good meal from a pizza place, with plenty of leftovers.

April 3rd 2022: Spending Time with My Son in Northborough

 Today, after leaving Shrewsbury,

I decided to bring my son to the playground at Zeh Elementary School in Northborough,

before bringing him for a snack at Brilla Coffee in town, which has taken the place of Inhouse Coffee, which my other half visited in the past. Nice decor inside.

We got the Vanilla Milkshake

and a Blueberry Muffin.

Not too bad, but nothing special.

April 2nd 2022: Spending Time in West Boylston

 Today, we decided to spend some time in the town of West Boylston, checking out the pretty decent Pride Park Playground at 70 Crescent Street,

then the Beaman Memorial Public Library,

a nice library with a big children's area.

For dinner, we decided to head into Holden to check out the new Pholicious Asian Fusion Restaurant and Bar, a pretty nice restaurant inside that used to be a Friendly's. The restaurant is apparently affiliated with Kyoto, a hibachi place in Worcester I have been to several times in the past.

We got the Jim Beam Milk Tea (milk tea with bourbon),

the Holden Tonkotsu Black (Thin noodles in pork broth with pork chashu, kikurage mushroom, green scallions, dried seaweed, seasoned egg, garlic oil, garlic chips, fried onion, and spicy sauce),

the Nha Trang Rolls (Vietnamese style grilled ham, rolled in rice paper with various greens and herbs),

the Korean Fried Chicken Bao (Korean fried chicken with pickled daikon & carrots, green onions, and hoisin sauce)

and the Vietnamese Pandan Waffle (Original Pandan) for dessert.

The drink was just alright by me, the alcohol blending into the flavor of the tea, but not adding to it. The appetizers weren't anything special, maybe being on the verge of being too strongly spiced. The flavor of the ramen was thankfully not bad though, as was the crispy waffle. Overall, a little too Americanized for our tastes to want to come back again. At least my son had fun in West Boylston today.
