March 19th 2016: A Day of Tea and Wine

We started off today with Afternoon Tea (half pot of tea, 2 scones, tea sandwiches and small sweeties, served with butter, jam and Devonshire cream) at Special Teas in Northborough.

We already knew there would be a wait for our food from our previous experience,  but we were here to enjoy the afternoon together anyway.

The House Chai Tea (black tea brewed with milk, sugar, vanilla and cardamom) was creamy and not too cinnamony,

Much to my delight.

The food came presented really prettily.

The tomato and cucumber sandwiches were excellent with Pesto flavor, as we're the jam and Cream. The Currant and Apple and Grapenut Scones were not bad too, although the currant one was better.

Next we went to the Nashoba Valley Winery in Bolton for a bit.

where my other half went on a brewery tour which I did a long time ago.
The place has not changed much, and my other half enjoyed her tour and wine tastings as I did before.

After leaving the winery, we headed to Clinton for a meal at Thai Time, a small restaurant in the downtown area.
We got the Chicken Satay (Charcoal-grilled chicken tenders on skewers, marinated with Thai spices; served with peanut sauce and cucumber sauce)
and the Mango Curry (Chicken & shrimp with mango chunks in a yellow curry with coconut milk, onions, carrots, tomatoes, and bell peppers).
Nothing special, and the curry was a little bland, though it was a bit spicy. Definitely not coming back again.
