This morning, we started out with some food from the Paris Baguette in Cambridge, getting the Coffee Bun (wheat flour, coffee topping cream, coffee extract).
Pretty good actually, without too strong a coffee flavor.
From here it was on to the main event of the day at the Dealmoon Asian Street Food Night Market, held in the parking lot of the Shops at Chestnut Hill.
We got some food here, namely Papaya Salad - Thai Original (Shredder green papaya, shrimp, carrot, string beans, tomato, and mixed in spicy lime juice)
from 9Zaab Thai Street Food in Cambridge,
Strawberry 冰糖葫芦
and 煎饼果子 from Dong Dong Asian Foods at 121 South Broadway in Lawrence,
the Larb Shrimp (seared shrimp with hot and spicy sauce over crispy noodles) from Dakzen in Somerville, the picture of which I took just as our napkins flew away in the wind, obscuring and the Sweet Tofu Pudding (house honey ginger syrup, osmanthus) from Sumiao Hunan Kitchen in Cambridge.
In my opinion, I would be better off checking out each restaurant itself rather than paying the entrance fee here and still paying full price for the food.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
