March 8th 2024: Eating Out in Woburn and Burlington

 Today, we decided to first have an early dinner in Woburn, checking out the Polish-Portuguese bar restaurant The Fox Den in town. Pretty nice decor inside.

We got the Shrimp Mozambique (shell on shrimp, onion, garlic, piri piri, Mozambique sauce)

the 3 Pierogi Mix and Match (sauerkraut and spicy sour cream, Classic (potato, cheddar, scallions, spices topped with scallion), Mushroom Marsala (potato, mushroom, carmelized onion, garlic confit), Lil' Polska (Potato, kielbasa, sauerkraut, whole grain mustard)).

Pretty good food I must say, full of flavor, with a kick too.

Later, while at H-Mart in Burlington, we decided to get some food from the food court there, getting the Spicy Rice Cakes from Woojeon

and the Squid Dog from Oh! K-Dog,

the Queens location of which I visited once in the past.

August 2nd 2018: Korean Lunch at Woori, Arlington

After visiting the Woburn Senior Center in Woburn,

 the Peabody Institute Library in Peabody,

and the Cary Public Library in Lexington,

We decided to have lunch at Woori, a Korean restaurant in Arlington that has taken the place of Manna House, which I visited a while back. Pretty much the same decor as before.

For food, we got the Spicy Squid Lunch Combo (served with rice and side dishes),

which came with a side of the Crispy Rice Cake (with sweeten spicy sauce sprinkle almond),

the Radish Roll (Shrimp, Asparagus, Avocado, Carrot, Red peeper and Crab meat wrapped pickled radish)

and the Bulgogi Kimchi Slider (Bulgogi and kimchi, lettuce, mayo with fries).

Really delicious meal, especially the burgers. Definitely a much better replacement for Manna House.

July 18th 2018: Visiting 2 Museums in the Morning

I started out this morning in Nashua NH,

Where I went on a hike at Cutter Woods. The path I took here is shown below in pink.

Pretty nice walk in the woods, with good views of the water bodies here.

Next, another hike at the Kirby Ivers Town Forest, where the path I took here is shown below in pink.

Nothing much to see here though.

With that, I headed into Lawrence MA to check out the Lawrence History Center, which is more of a research library than a museum. The lady who arrived just as I did was nice enough to show me around though.

Next, I went to grab a bit at Cavallo Restaurant and Diner, a Dominican breakfast place in town, getting the Yaroa with Yellow Plantains.

Unfortunately, the plantains made the dish sweet and hence tasted weird. The first one had in Boston was much better.

My last stop for the day was the Woburn Historical Society in Woburn, which is located in an interesting looking house.

The toys on exhibit made me feel a little old though, as I recognised some of them. Oh well.

With that, I called it a day, having been successful in visiting 2 museums in the morning.
