October 6th 2019: Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory, Deerfield

Today, we decided to go check out the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in Deerfield, which is similar to the Butterfly Place in Westford, passing by Sunderland
Old Town Hall, 112 North Main Street
First Congregational Church

along the way.

The museum itself is bigger than the one in Westford, and nicer too.
After leaving the museum. we decided to get some food from Gianni Fig's Ristorante, an Italian restaurant in town.

For food, we got the Chopped Salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, asparagus, kalamata olives, peppers, feta, garlic, olive oil & lemon),
the Neopolitan Lasagne (fresh pasta sheets, angus ragu, egg, bechamel, ricotta, salame, mozzarella)
and the Tiramisu (lady fingers, espresso, mascarpone, chocolate pieces, cocoa powder) for dessert.
The salad was just so-so, although the lasagne and tiramisu were pretty tasty. I kinda like the C'Mondz one better though. With that, an end to a day of butterflies.

October 5th 2019: Tous Les Jours and Buttercup, Natick

For dinner today, we had it early at Buttercup, an upscale restaurant in Natick. Pretty decent decor as expected.
For food, we got the Joyberry Farms Mushroom Toast (farmers cheese, piquillo sauce)
and the Crystal Valley Chicken (potato puree, baby spinach, Brookford farms carrots).
Excellent flavor and textures in both dishes, definitely the one of the best restaurants in town.

Later on, while at the Natick Mall,
We decided to grab some bakery items from the new location of Tous Les Jours here,

getting the Strawberry Matcha Latte,
the Muddy Bun, Coffee Kaya Bun, Whole Milk Loaf
and the Original Roll Cake.

Different menu from the location in Burlington, but good all the same.

October 4th 2019: Auburn Town Pizza, Auburn

I decided to get lunch from Auburn Town Pizza in Auburn today. Nice looking for a pizza place.
I got the BBQ Chicken Pizza,
which was actually pretty good, though nothing special. That's why this place is pretty popular.

October 1st 2019: L'Andana, Burlington

Today after work, we decided to have dinner at the best restaurant in Burlington, L'Andana. This high end place is apparently owned by the same people behind Ostra and Sorellina.
We had starters of olive oil toasted bread with a type of ground tomato dip,
which actually pretty good compared to the typical olive oil and bread.
For food, we got the Lumache (Classic ragu Bolognese, Parmigiano-Reggiano),
the Mussels (Steamed out of the shell, tomato & garden basil crema).
the Tuscan Steak (12 oz, Wood-grilled choice Ribeye, arugula, Parmigiano-Reggiano, truffle oil, vin cotto)
and the Panna Cotta di Caramello (Tahitian vanilla bean, mixed nut praline, salted caramel, lace piastrella) for dessert.
The pasta was just the right amount of tanginess, and the mussels were the dish of the night with the spicy smoky sauce they were in. The steak was filling and delicious with the wine sauce, although the dessert was a little on the sweet side, but still good. Overall, a really delicious meal here.

To top it off, we got a Chestnut Cream Cake from Tous Les Jours in town.
Excellent night to be out in Burlington, to say the least.
