We had lunch today at Szechuan's Dumpling, a Chinese restaurant in Arlington specializing in Szechuan food and dumplings, as the name suggests.
We got the Ginger Tea,
the Eggplant with Basil,
the Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings,
and the Fried Daikon Cakes.
The tea was pretty good, not having too much ginger in it, while the eggplant was tasty as well, although the basil was a little strong at times. The cakes were not what we were expecting, being totally deep fried, but not too bad either. The dumplings were a little disappointing in my opinion though, being very thick on skin but low on filling. The sauce accompanying it was a little on the bland side as well. Overall, not a bad experience, but definitely not the best. Maybe we will try the Szechuan stuff in future.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
