November 30th 2019: Pub 122, Grafton for Breakfast

Today, we decided to have breakfast at Pub 122 in Grafton, which we have visited in the past for dinner. The breakfast area is in a different part of the restaurant though.

For food, we got the Veggie Omelet

and the French Toast.

Nothing special though. I think this place is only worth coming for the Indian food.

November 29th 2019: Breakfast in Revere, Lunch in Saugus, Dinner in Burlington

We had a day of trying new places today, starting with a quick breakfast in Revere at Philly Pretzel Factory, a somewhat fast food sort of place.

I got the Mini Cheesesteak,

which was really bland, and salty in the wrong way. Not a fan of pretzels for sure.

For lunch, we decided to get it from the Boston Market in Saugus,

getting one Rotisserie Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Sweet Corn and Mixed Vegetables. I did not manage to get a picture of the food, but the chicken was actually pretty moist and flavorful.

For dinner, we decided to have it at Chopps American Bar and Grill, a high end steakhouse located within the Boston Marriott Burlington hotel.

Really nice decor to say the least,

with olive oil covered bread for starters.

For food, we got the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (Apple Jicama Slaw, pickled onions, whole grain mustard aioli),

the PETIT FILET  (With Mashed Potato, & Vegetable), which is actually for kids,

and the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (spicy cocktail sauce).

The shrimp was good but way too expensive, while the beef was dry, mainly because it was well done, but the crabcakes were simply excellent, as were the sides. Overall, a pretty good dining experience at this place.

November 26th 2019: Teaching My Other Half to Read a Map

Today, due to the nice weather, we decided to go hiking, in a part of the Wachusett Reservoir area which I have never been to before, in the town of Sterling. The path we took to get to Prescott Cove is shown below in pink.

Nice walk, with great views of the reservoir along the way.

November 25th 2019: Table Twelve Kitchen and Bar, West Boylston

Today after work, we decided to have dinner at Table Twelve Kitchen and Bar, a new restaurant in West Boylston. Pretty decent decor.

For food, we decided to get the Stuffed bacon wrapped meatloaf (homemade meatloaf wrapped with bacon and filled with a mozzerella cheese blend and portabella mushrooms, topped with homemade beef gravy served with our homemade red bliss mashed potatoes),

which was actually pretty good, especially with the cheese and mushroom stuffing. Not sure why all the bad reviews.

November 24th 2019: Skybokx 109, Natick

Today while in Natick, we decided to have lunch at Skybokx 109, a bar restaurant in Natick associated with Bokx 109 in Newton, which I visited once a long time ago. Decent looking place with an interesting menu,

and popcorn for starters.

We got the Nacho Average Burger (half pound beef burger, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, tortilla chips, guacamole, jalapenos),

which was actually really good with that Mexican flavor. Definitely glad I decided to give this branch a try.

November 21st 2019: The Local Tavern, Holden

Today, we decided to check out the Local Tavern in Holden, a bar restaurant which has replaced Flip Flops, which I visited once before.

We decided to get the Pizza Special (ranch base, sriracha chicken, pineapple, bacon, crispy wontons and scallions) for food.

Pretty good actually, and for cheap too. Other interesting stuff on the menu as well. Might come back again in future.                             

November 16th 2019: Wan Wang Restaurant, Worcester

Today, while out grocery shopping, we decided to check out the new Chinese restaurant in Worcester, Wan Wang Restaurant, which has taken the place of Ho Toy Luau, which I visited once before.
Nicer decor than before, though similar.

For food, we got the Wan Wang Special Ramen (Sliced grilled chicken, barbecue pork, chikuwa, shell-on prawns and mussels on top of noodles in a rich chicken broth with dashi and miso. topped with scallions, wakame, menma, seasonal greens and half a tea-stained egg)

And the Poached Fish with Cabbage in Hot Chili Broth.

Both dishes were not bad, but nothing amazing, and a little on the expensive side. Not sure I want to come back again.

November 10th 2019: Amigo's Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar, Peabody

Today, while at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, we decided to have lunch at the new Mexican restaurant here, Amigo's Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar. Pretty nice decor inside.

For food, we ordered from the breakfast menu, getting the HUEVOS RANCHEROS (Two fried eggs over our homemade corn tortilla chips, topped with red enchilada sauce and sliced avocado. Served with a side of rice and beans.)

Pretty good, especially because of the sauces and beans. Not sure if they missed out on the avocado though.

November 8th 2019: Anzio's Brick Oven Pizza, Northborough

Today for dinner, as it was very cold, we decided to get pizza takeout from Anzio's Brick Oven Pizza, a new gourmet pizza place in Northborough that has taken over from Hanto, which I visited once in the past, and there used to be an Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza here too. I passed by Shrewsbury along the way.

The decor has been slightly altered since.

We got the Spinaci Pollo (Garlic cream sauce with grilled chicken, fresh spinach, roasted garlic, calabro ricotta and mozzarella cheese).

which was actually really delicious, with the miunds of flavorful yet soft garlic. Definitely coming back again someday.

November 6th 2019: Kisoro, Worcester

Today for lunch, I decided to check out the new Japanese place in Worcester, Kisoro Teriyaki and Sushi Express. Small place, with not much on the menu.

I decided to get the Volcano Roll (avocado, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy mayonnaise),

which was actually pretty good for what it was, and tasty. Don't think I want to come back again though due to the simple menu.

November 1st 2019: Hooters, Shrewsbury

For dinner today, we decided to check out the Hooters location in Shrewsbury.

We got the Chicken Garden Salad (Spring mixed greens with diced tomatoes, cucumbers, cheddar and Monterey cheese croutons and Lime Vinaigrette dressing topped with grilled chicken strips),

the Roasted Mixed Veggies,

and the Boneless Wings (Chicken battered and breaded with Parmesan Garlic (creamy parmesan with rich flavor of garlic)).

Extremely mediocre food, the wings being too salty as well. Definitely not coming back again.
