Today, while in the Dorchester area of Boston, we decided to have lunch at Pho Le, which we have been to several times in the past. This time around, we got the Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet (Lemongrass beef soup with sliced beef shin, pork hock, pork paste, and beef tendon. Served with sliced banana blossom, cabbage, bean sprouts, herbs, and lime.)
and the Mi My Tho (noodle soup with shrimp, imitation crab meat, squid, fish cake, and sliced pork).Very authentic flavors to say the least. For dessert, we decided to get the Che Halo Halo (Filippino dessert: purple yam, coconut meat, hotluu, palm seeds, jackfruit, white bean, agar, flan, Ube ice cream, almond, milk.) from Coco Leaf nearby.
The flan was a little harder than expected, but overall the dessert was still good. Nice day for Vietnamese food in Boston.
