We stopped by the
H-Mart in Cambridge today in search of a Japanese Cotton Cheesecake, getting a Soft Cheesecake (egg, sugar, wheat flour, cream cheese, milk, heavy cream, water, butter, caramel, baking powder, salt)
and the Cheese Souffle Cake (cream cheese, milk, egg, vanilla sponge, sugar, salt, butter).
I am just glad the soft cheesecake was what my other half was looking for after all.
In Newton, we visited the new restaurant,
Four Spoons Thai Cuisine, which has taken the place of B Street Restaurant and Bar, which I visited
a while back. The place still looks pretty much the same though.
For food, we got appetizers, namely the Crispy Bronzini Mango Salad (Crispy Mediterranean sea bass, spicy mango salad, scallion, red onion , peanut and cilantro)
the Thai Pan Fried Oyster (Oyster, egg, bean sprout, scallion, cilantro, white pepper and Thai Sriracha sweet chili sauce)
and the Bacon Wrapped Dates (Bacon, dates, Manchego cheese, Linguica and cream cheese served with Yuzu sauce).
The food was pretty awesome, to say the least. The fish was crispy, going nicely with the tart mango and mildly sweet sauce. I was expecting small pieces of oysters instead of an omelette, but it was really crispy and a pleasant surprise. The presentation of the dates were interesting as well, calling to mind the name of the restaurant. Delicious stuff too.
Overall, a good replacement for B Street.
