December 22nd 2015: Christmas Spirit in Avon and Attleborough

I got some breakfast fare from Edgemere Diner, a small town diner in Shrewsbury, getting the Caprese Omelet (Fresh mozzarella and tomatoes,  finished with fresh basil).

Novel concept, but doesn't work well for me.

After work,  we headed to the Jordan's Furniture in Avon to check out the Enchanted Village and Laser LITE show. Nothing has changed from last year,

but thankfully my other half enjoyed her time there,  especially the laser show, and of course,  who could forget the Blueberry muffins.

Dinner was at Amelia's, a pretty upscale Italian restaurant in Stoughton.

We got the Cedar Plank Salmon (Rosemary apple puree, fingerling potatoes, cipollini onions, frisée & mustard aioli)
and the Sacchetti (Stuffed pasta – little sack shape) Pear and Mascarpone cheese - Shaved Pecorino Romano & mostarda di frutta).
The salmon was perfectly cooked, going really well with the apple sauce and mustard. The pasta was a little hard, but overall, an interesting concept, along with the 2 sauces which brought all the individual components together.

Excellent meal, but the night wasn't over yet. We headed to the La Salette Shrine in Attleborough, where the Christmas lights were in full swing.

The place has a museum with Nativity sets from all around the world as well.
Sadly we had to leave as the place was about to close. It was a nice night enjoying Christmas lights though.
