August 7th 2016: Second Time at the Maine Lobster Festival

We went early to Rockland ME this morning for the Maine Lobster Festival,

and decided to check out the Brass Compass Cafe, a popular breakfast place for breakfast.

We got the Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice,

 a Pancake
and the Mermaid Frittata (shrimp and scallop with hollandaise open faced omelette with toasties and homies).
The omelette was excellent, a great combination with the seafood. Can see why this place is so popular.

After breakfast, we took a walk around for a bit,
Tradewinds Inn
Chapman Park,
Park Street and Main Street

especially the Rockland Harbor Park.

where the festival itself is located,
on Buoy Park as well.
The festival was pretty much like the one I went to a while ago,

although this time, the line for lobster was not as long, and we managed to get the Seafood Plate with lobster, steamers, corn, bread and coleslaw.
Nothing special though, and definitely not worth the 30 bucks we paid. Probably not coming all the way back next time.

Before heading home, we went to check out the Rockland Breakwater Light, for which we had to walk a mile out on the breakwater to get to it. Pictures I took here follow.

With that, we headed home for the day, passing by Wiscasset ME along the way.

Dinner was at Dharani, a new Indian restaurant in Westborough which has taken the place of Mirchi, which I have been to in the past. The decor is pretty much the same as before.
We got the Fresh Lime Soda,
the Goat Chettinad (goat cubes, chettinad spices, coconut),

the Chicken Tikka Naan (layered flaky flatbread, chicken tikka)
and the Guthi Vankaya (baby eggplant, sesame seeds, peanut Gravy).
Pretty good Indian meal to end a weekend trip to Maine.
