We had lunch today at
CM Bistro, a cafe in Lynn that I initially thought was a restaurant before I saw it. We got the Morir Sonando (orange juice and carnation milk) and Lemon and Oat drinks,
the French Crepe (nutella, banana, powder sugar, strawberries, chocolate syrup)
and the Cachapas Venezolanas (Mozzarella cheese and chicken).
The food was just alright, although the drinks were really delicious.
Dinner was at
Bisq, a new upscale place in Cambridge by the owners of
Bergamot.
We had the 6 course tasting meal, the first course being the Salmon Ceviche (cucumber, cantaloupe, corona beans, tiger's milk).
Pretty good, the cantaloupe being a great touch to the dish.
The next course was the Herb Marinated Beets (raita, sunflower seed granola),
the curry like sauce and sunflower seedscour doing it for this dish.
The third course was the Platter of Housemade Charcuterie (sliced and whipped lardo,'nduja, Spanish chorizo).
I especially liked the lardo and the pates here.
The fourth course was another salmon dish, the Salmon a la Plancha (delicata squash, herb crusted tomato, sabayon),
with the salmon being perfectly cooked and going well together with the rest of the ingredients.
The last savory course was something I have not had before, the Pomegranate Glazed Lamb Ribs (grilled peach, house made ricotta, pistachio),
and they were absolutely to die for, the meat being crispy yet fall off the bone standard, the pomegranate sauce playing the flavor part perfectly.
Our dessert course was the Dessert Charcuterie (lemon curd bar, blackberry pate de fruit, muddy buddies, chocolate salami), a very interesting concept to say the least,
and a very tasty one at that, although I did not take to the chocolate salami as well.
Overall, a really good meal here, will recommend it.
