October 2nd 2015: Mediterranean Takeout from Fairouz, Boston

Today after work, I decided to get takeout from Fairouz, a Mediterranean place which makes an effort to look like a restaurant in the West Roxbury area of Boston.

I got the Maaneek (mini lamb cured sausages sautéed in butter & lemon, finished with pomegranate molasses)

And the Moaajanet Sampler (2 meat pies, 2 spinach pies, 2 sambousik (traditional lebanese dough stuffed with a mix of ground lamb, beef & pine nuts), 2 rakakat (phyllo cigars filled with our house cheese blend, parsley & scallions.), 2 kebbe balls (lebanese dumplings stuffed with sautÉed ground beef, toasted pine nuts & onions, served with homemade yogurt- cucumber sauce.))

The sausage was really sour,  though a little better with the sauces provided. The spinach pie was too sour for my liking as well,  although the sambousik was pretty good.

Overall, way too expensive for the small stuff I got. Not coming back again.
