We decided to check out a An Nam Vietnamese Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant in the town of Marlborough, thinking it would be a good experience because of the good Yelp reviews. We got the Banh Mi Lemongrass Pork (with sambal mayo, chicken liver pate, jalapenos, cilantro, cucumber, pickle carrots and daikon),
and the Noodle Salad Garlic Chili Grilled Shrimp (with chilled rice vermicelli, lettuce, cucumber, cilantro, mint, pickle carrot and daikon, scallion oil, fried shallots and crushed peanut, serve with house sauce or ponzu).
Sadly, the salad was nothing special, like any unwrapped summer roll, while the bread was not even crispy and soggy, although the sauce was not too bad. Disappointing experience overall.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
