June 6th 2017: Second Day In Saratoga Springs NY

We started out today with breakfast at the Triangle Diner, a small town place In the town of Greenfield NY,

Getting a Buttermilk Pancake,
the California Benedict (2 poached eggs, grilled tomatoes and avocado on an english muffin topped with hollandaise sauce)
and the Homemade Corned Beef Hash.
Not a bad meal, although we were not expecting the pancake to be that big, and hence we could not finish it.

After my seminar today, we headed to the Saratoga Casino Hotel,
which also has a race track,
but only computerized blackjack tables.

From here, we went to the Saratoga Spa State Park,
where my other half had a relaxing time at the Roosevelt Baths and Spa
while I went to explore the rest of the park.

and a few other places
Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Lincoln Baths, 65 South Broadway
Dyer Phelps AME Zion Church
Adirondack Trust Company,
112 South Broadway
Hilton Garden Inn Saratoga Springs

along with fiberglass horses

and shoes

before visiting the National Museum of Dance,

which has its own collection of shoes as well.

Finally, it was time for lunch at Boca Bistro, a pretty upscale Spanish restaurant in town.
For appetizers, we got the Stuffed Dates (Dates stuffed with valdeon and marcona almonds, wrapped in bacon, cider glaze) and the Deviled Eggs (Deviled eggs, tuna conserva, fried capers, garlic aioli, preserved lemon vinaigrette, espelette),
Pretty good, especially the dates with the sauce.

We also got the Cream of Cauliflower Soup,
and the Boca Burger (Certified Angus burger, fried egg, pimento cheese, crispy onions, spicy aioli on a pretzel roll).
Once again, pretty good combination of flavors and texture.

For dessert, we got the Crema Catalana (Caramelized creamy custard, notes of citrus and cinnamon),
not expecting it to be an orange flavored creme brulee, our second in 2 days. Pretty good though.

Our final stop for the day was at the Colonie Center Mall in the town of Colonie NY.
With that, we headed home for the day, passing by the Castleton Bridge in Coeymans NY.
