For lunch today, I started out with some Peach ice cream
from Cones on the Common in Grafton,
which is linked to the Grafton Country Store next door.
Not too sweet, yet flavorful all the same. Good start to my lunch.
Next, it was the Green Plate, an organic cafe in Northbridge,
Where I got the Coleslaw (red cabbage, kale, carrot, dried cranberries, apples, almonds, honey, olive oil, cider vinegar, lemon juice, salt, pepper) and Buffalo Chicken Salad Wrap ( chicken, hot sauce, blue cheese, celery, apple spinach, quinoa, onion, psyllium husk).
The salad was alright I guess with all its textures and flavors, although the wrap looked and tasted weird. Not coming back again.
Later for dinner, we decided to check out Mexicali Mexican Grill in Worcester, which has opened up in place of the British Beer Company, which I visited once in the past. The decor is pretty much the same, just changed to a Mexican theme.
As today was opening day, we got free Guacamole Fresco (Fresh avocados, serrano chiles, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, spices and lime.) and Exotica Margarita (Milagro Tequila, orange liqueur, lime and passion fruit) and Mexican Mule (Espolon Tequila, ginger beer and lime juice),
which would have been alright if not for the raw onions in it.
For food, we got the Tres Amigos (Charbroiled skirt steak with marinated grilled chicken breast
and shrimp sautéed with mushrooms, onions and peppers. Served with guacamole, rice and beans.)
which was dry and nothing special.
Definitely not coming back. I did like the one in Spencer though.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
