This morning, I decided to get breakfast at Franny's, a diner in Malden, getting One Egg (with home fries and toast).
Nothing special, and the potatoes were a tad salty.
Later in the day, we got some dessert from Coco Leaf in Boston, this time getting the Rau Ma Dau Xanh, Strawberry Shortcake,
Peach Lemongrass Fruit Tea and Kumquat Berry (strawberry and kumquat).
The cake was placed within a small rectangular box, which made it hard to get at. Still good though. Of the drinks, I liked the kumquat drink the most, and there were way too much green beans in the green drink, making it gritty.
For dinner, we were in Peabody, so we decided to go to the Legal Sea Foods here.
We got the Lemon Caper Grey Sole (lemon beurre blanc, jasmine rice, sautéed spinach),
the Grilled 8 oz. Filet Mignon (herbes de provence butter, smashed potatoes with lemon garlic yogurt sauce, roasted mushrooms),
and the Treasures of the Reef (freshly shucked raw shellfish).
The fish was the best I have had, crispy yet soft, and the cold seafood was fresh as well. Unfortunately, the beef was on the dry side, although the flavor was pretty good.
Overall though, still a pretty good meal with family.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
