After another day of fun at the beach, we decided to check out Rail Trail Flatbread Company for brunch in Hudson, which I visited for dinner a very long time ago. I really don't recall any more what it was like in the past, but it still looks very good inside.
This time around, we got the Frozen Watermelon Cooler (tequila, watermelon, cucumber),the Nuggets (house-made) with side of Fries, the lamb jam flatbread (roasted garlic base, confit lamb, caramelized onion, cheese blend, feta, berry beet yogurt, arugula dressed in lemon coriander vinaigrette, garlic crouton),the short rib benedict (fresh english muffin stacked up with short rib hash and poached eggs topped with tarragon bearnaise sauce),and the honey beet salad (mixed greens, arugula, beets, opal apple, grape, fried celery root, cardamom almond, dried cranberry, goat cheese, honey chevre vinaigrette). The drink was not too bad, although it had little watermelon flavor, while the nuggets were interestingly crispy. The salad had good sweet fruity flavors, while the benedict had the right mix of spices. The yogurt on the pizza made it not too bad, though a little stingy on the lamb meat itself. Overall, still a very good meal for everyone involved. This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
