I had to leave work early today to go pick my mom up from the airport. After doing so, I decided to take her to
Thai E-Sarn, a nicely decorated Thai place in Arlington where I had a deal, for dinner.
In order to use the deal, we ordered a lot of food and drink, getting the Hot Green Tea,
the Thai Iced Tea,
the Vegetable Rolls (crispy spring rolls filled with homemade vegetable filling, served with sweet and sour sauce),
the Suki Yaki Soup with Seafood (Thai style glass noodle soup mixed with assorted vegetables serve with savoury spicy sesame Suki Yaki sauce),
the Green Papaya Salad with Salted Black Crab
the Kaeng Aom Beef (A spicy "curry" with mixed vegetables in savoury broth without coconut milk),
and the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango for dessert.
The green tea and the rolls were nothing special, while the pieces of crab in the salad still had shell on it, though an interesting concept. The soups were really tasty though, as was my iced tea and the dessert. Overall, a pretty good dining experience, with lots of leftovers.
