Today after yet another late night at work, I decided to call it a day and head to Chuck's Steakhouse in Auburn for dinner.
This place is actually 2 restaurants in one, a western one with the same name and its Mexican alter-ego, Margaritagrill, both reflected in the menu. On top of that, the place is actually pretty big, with so many different sections, and books on shelfs everywhere, something you don't see often in bar restaurants.
I chose to sit in the bar lounge section, and after looking at the menu, I decided to get the Spinach, Tomato and Mushroom Quesadilla for the Mexican side of things,
and the Chateau of Beef, served sliced over porcini mushroom ravioli in a Marsala wine sauce.
The Quesadilla was just so-so, although the beef was simply excellent, going really well with the Marsala sauce, complete with the grilled bread on top.
I don't know why the ratings online are so low, but I think this restaurant is actually pretty good, and the crowd present at the restaurant on a freezing Wednesday is clear evidence of that as well.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
