For the third week in a row, we were at the Natick Mall again today.
This time, we decided to check out the Neiman Marcus Cafe for lunch, a pretty upscale, though small, place.
We got complimentary little cups of broth to start off,
a good precursor to our food, which consisted of the Roasted Butternut Squash Soup (caramelized shallots, ginger, crispy kale),
the Strawberry Resort Radiance (muddled strawberries with coconut water, peach, lemon, topped with prosecco) for a drink,
complimentary popovers with strawberry butter,
and the Chicken Paillard Milanese (herb parmesan breaded chicken, israeli couscous, mushrooms, baby carrots, tomato basil sauce, arugula, olive oil).
The soup is the best squash soup I have had to date, not being too strong in sweet squash flavor. The drink was excellent as well, going really well with the strawberry provided. The chicken was cooked just right as well, being moist and not too dry. The popovers were simply to die for though and even better with the strawberry butter. To complete it all, we also got mint chocolate candy as parting gifts.
I'm definitely coming back for more.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
