Today, we decided to spend the day in Boston,
going for a walk at the
Charles River Esplanade
before grabbing a bite at the
Tatte Bakery and Cafe on Boylston Street, which was busy with the brunch crowd.
We got the Strawberry Vanilla Cloud
and the Matcha Latte.
The dessert was just alright, although the drink was pretty good, despite us having to sweeten it ourselves. Given the popularity of this place, I will probably come back again to try some of their other stuff.
After our first meal, we passed by the newest fad in town,
Happy Place. 30 bucks just to visit crap and take pictures with it? Thankfully I did not do it.
Next, the
Boston Marathon finish line, where it's going to happen tomorrow.
We stopped by the
Lindt Chocolatier nearby at 704 Boylston Street,
and got to sample their Vanilla Truffle Egg (with creamy center).
Not bad, although my other half thought it was too sweet.
After passing through the
Mandarin Oriental Boston,
and passing by the new facade of the
Prudential Center,
before entering it through the
Eataly entrance. We decided to eat at
Terra, which has a nice outdoor like design
and a skylight view.
The bread was presented interestingly enough as well.
For food, we got the Supplì al telefono (carnaroli rice, short rib, chicken liver, housemade mozzarella)
and the Agnolotti al coniglio (housemade rabbit agnolotti, fava beans).
Wasn't all that special, small portion, and really expensive. Don't think I want to come back again, although the ambience is really nice.
Next, we went to check out what the buzz about
Blue Bottle Coffee is all about, which thankfully did not have a line this time around.
We got the New Orleans Iced Coffee,
which honestly wasn't anything special. Guess we are not coffee connoisseurs.
Finally, after passing through
Copley Place
and the
Westin Copley Place,
we finally decided to call it a day of hanging out in Boston.
